It was a simple enough choice. After all, Matsutoya Nanako was A-Class material. The fifteen year old twin-tailed girl smirked confidently as she took her seat. Nanako wasn’t a girl who liked to be late to things and this being her first day at a new school she made sure to take the initiative to be one of the first students to arrive. Her parents had specifically told her to do her best and make a good impression; Uesugi wasn’t a school for people who didn’t give any less than one-hundred percent and they expected her to do just that and then-some. But what could she do outside of meet her fellow students and contemplate what kind of club to join? Nanako took a light, unanxious breath as she pushed her hands together and placed them on the top of her desk as she began looking around as other students began looking for their assigned seat in the classroom. Her eyes looked to one of the many students she didn’t recognize, trying to commit every face to memory.

Uesugi High School, Class 2-C 8:00 - 8:10 AM

Aya took her seat, taking her headphones off and ensuring to stop the music player on her cellphone. Unlike some more “active” students, Aya wasn’t interested in conversing or engaging with her classmates as everyone got adjusted to being second year students at Uesugi High. It wasn’t that she was unfriendly, but rather that she didn’t really have all that many friends. Aya had made sure to keep up the image of a star athlete that was approachable and friendly; even if the image itself was a little bit of a façade. Besides, it was still only the very first day of school and things like love confessions and anything that really mattered was on a long list of “probably unlikely”. Aya was fine waiting for everything to get going when one of the students decided to address the class and introduce himself. It was weird, especially considering nothing had called for it and such introductions tended to not be made before class started. The green-haired girl raised a brow as she repeated the boy’s name in her head a few times so she’d remember him for sure; though not remembering the weird boy who introduced himself to everyone before everyone was in class before the day really started was probably going to be difficult. She broke eye contact from the boy as she began to swipe through her phone, browsing her twitter feed.
