[@Seirei No Hai] My general idea was that of [i]Astoriel[/i] that had forsaken The One and the Enclave, and struck out to use their technology to their own ends. They could even deliberately sever whatever innate connection their possess with The One in order to cement their autonomy, possibly at the cost of some innate magics or what have you.

Honestly if you hadn't written "space elves" in your CS I would have literally just called by guy a "Dark Elf" and called it a day.
