Emerald knight began to glow as his body floated gently above the ground. His ring was getting low on energy, his charge would only last one, maybe two hours tops.

“Wait.”

He couldn’t take that chance. Emerald Knight knew they didn’t have a lot of time, but he didn’t know how much longer this was going to last. His ring forward, he summoned the energy to create a portal to his lantern. Pulling out the large device and inserting by his ring into the open hold on the side, he recited the mantra that the Guardians of Oa had gifted to him.

“In brightest day, in blackest night. No evil shall escape my sight, Let those who worship evil's might. Beware my power--Green Lantern's light!"

Light and energy were discharged from the lantern, and the power returned to Emerald Knight. He smiled at the return of his strength and energy reserves. Now nothing would be able to stop him from helping the others in taking down the gods.

It only occurred to him now that nobody knew what he was doing. Maybe Orin, but certainly none of the others. “I’ll explain later.” He chuckled and looked skyward. “I’ll catch you, Velocity, let’s go.” With that, he flew upwards, ready go catch velocity wherever Tank might throw her.
