Sure, she was a fine little piece but she really wasn't his type. He liked his women like he liked his guns - deadly, sassy, and loud - the exact opposite of the type of people who took jobs in pastry shops. While some would recommend avoiding workplace romances, Scott found he could only fall for people who were in his line of work - he also didn't particularly care which side of the law they fell on. Scott raised an eyebrow at Janelle. "You don't say? Guess I should've paid attention in biology," he said with a bit of a chuckle. He knew that he didn't look it but he actually was highly educated and had a gift for mechanical engineering. He'd act the part of the fool whenever it suited him. Or maybe he was just still a little drunk from the night before. Or perhaps he'd just stopped caring. Any of those would have been plausible explanations for his behavior. "I'll take the strongest thing you have - which I'm guessing is coffee," Scott said, sighing with disappointment. "And sure, princess. Take a seat - the more the fucking merrier," Scott huffed. He was a bit irritated at the kids speaking a language he didn't understand and he considered switching into Russian just to teach them a lesson. For a moment, however, he was distracted. Did his daughter know her ancestral tongue? Could she speak Russian fluently? Or did she not even know her own nationality? He sighed a bit, and if anyone was paying close attention, they'd be able to see a little bit of sadness in him. Janelle was just reminding him of the daughter he would never meet.
