The wisp gave a shrill cry of pain as the glob of corrosive venom impacted it. She would have gone in for the kill herself, but before she could make another a move a rock slammed into it, propelled by a weak stream of water. The rock hit it with a soft whump, before exploding into a ball of sparks with whatever was left of it falling to the ground. Immediately the lizard turned in the direction whoever lobbed the rock. The Slime? She took a few careful steps in the direction of the whatever was left of the wisps body, glaring lightly at the slime beast in front of her. Now, there were a few reasons why it did that, but none of them were good that she could think of. So she hissed lightly at the slime, not attacking it, but clearly wary of its intentions. If need be, she’d fire another glob of poison, grab her spoils and run for it. Seeing the lizard creeping toward the husk of the fallen wisp, Jason could easily discern its intentions. However, as he was the one to strike the killing blow, he was not going to leave empty-handed, quickly darting forward, he sucked up the wisp’s corpse. Ash only watched with caution - ready to strike back should it try anything. Unfortunately, it somehow managed to get its slimy body around her without her noticing and scoop up the prize before she could take it and run herself. "Gah! This oversized ball of jello is lucky I don't have a spoon." She mused dryly in thought to herself, putting a bit more distance between the two of them as the slime in question began doing something rather odd. Hearing a hiss, Jason quickly reconsidered his action, before suddenly thinking of a compromise. Sucking up a sharp rock, he forced the wisp’s corpse to the bottom of his body, repeatedly smashing the rock’s sharp edge against it until finally managing to cut it in half. Cautiously approaching the lizard, Jason carefully held out half of the wisp; much in the same fashion as someone attempting to feed a wild animal. It pulverized the body of the wisp in two, and slowly slunk its way over…offering her half of it? Understandably skeptical, Ash did nothing at first, merely glare studiously at it, looking for any sign of what might have been a trap. Now, the thing had helped her fight the wisp, but honestly, she wished it hadn't. More spoils for her that way. But perhaps she could use this things kindness to her advantage? Having allies, even bestial ones could be good. She tentatively sank a claw into the half of the wisps body, careful not to touch the slime's body before putting some distance between the two of them, her half of the body resting at her feet. Bah, not being able to speak was annoying. Seeing the lizard cautiously take it's half of the wisp before retreating a short distance, Jason thought it best not to press his luck; nature was a fickle mistress. He began digesting his half of the wisp as he headed back toward the pond. Upon reaching the edge, he sucked up a bit more water for future use, collected a few more ‘healing herbs’, and began to search for more of those ‘mana crystals’, taking careful consideration to keep the lizard within direct line of sight. With the slime not trying anything else, Ash quickly returned to her own business. It didn't seem very hostile on the surface at least, so she'd remain cautiously optimistic. As well, since the slime didn't seem to suffer any ill effects from the herbs either, she tentatively ate one, swallowing it whole in typical lizard fashion. Once done, she turned her attention to the body of the wisp. Curious thing, wasn't it? She glared silently at it for a few seconds, studying it. Now here she had an option. She could attempt eating it - that was fine, she did need to eat after all but food was relatively easy to come by. There was a particular skill she wanted to try that she hadn't been able too. She glanced over to the large bonfire where the goblins were gathered, some commotion going on over there. They were the most advanced things in this place, or so it seemed. If she wanted to try some alchemy, she'd need some tools. She placed the deceased wisps body on the ground, burying it under a thin layer of dirt and the densely growing herbs. Hopefully no other predators or that slime would mess with it. For now, she swiftly and silently moved across the floor of the cavern, heading to the large bonfire the goblins seemed to like. Perhaps she could find a bowl, or some other primitive tool the goblins made. She could make them herself, but claws made for poor working tools.
