[indent]As the youngest of five, Natsuko grew up in a noisy household, but attention was rarely focused on her. Where her older siblings grew up and gathered accomplishments, her parents fussing and scurrying after them, Natsuko never showed such promise. As such, Natsuko quickly decided that there was little point in being a rule-abiding citizen. Rather than trying to win the praise and liking of others, Natsuko vowed to instead focus on having as much fun as possible. She might not be able to control how others perceive her, but she could definitely control how much she enjoyed her life. Thus, her childhood was spent hanging around town with others her age, amusing herself however she saw fit. One of her early plots included getting her aloof and silent teammate, Kazuhiko, to fall for the pretty Hyuuga heiress. When she got to know her teammates better, however, she swapped that plan out for a better one, and to this day she’s still set on teasing both her teammates however she can.[/indent]

[indent]Mischievous and easily humoured, Natsuko loves a good joke and enjoys riling others up, placing herself in control as they lose hold of it. Her flaws lie in her insecurity in her abilities since she’s seen herself fall short time and time again. As a means to avoid this, however, she has a tendency to turn a blind eye to her faults, which has resulted in her being rather frivolous about her growth as a kunoichi. While outwardly confident and happy, she is a kind-hearted and loyal person at heart, and some may even call her sensitive—though she wouldn’t be caught dead admitting it.[/indent]

Currently, they have several long-standing allies including the Hyuga, and as a result of their connections and general likability they have a decent amount of political sway in the village. However, though they’re seen as one of the easiest clans to deal with, they’re also one of the worst clans to cross due to how many allies they have and favors they’re owed within the village. Their rivals number few for a reason, and the Rinha have worked to keep it like that—through negotiations or otherwise.[/indent]

For him, though, the sensaigan is simply a tool he’s always possessed, and he doesn’t question it much. He is a Taketori, and the Taketori are sensaigan wielders, utilizing wind and lightning jutsus in ways dictated by their kekkei genkai. With all of this to shape him, he did his best to live up to the title of ‘genius,’ and he quickly rose to become one of the best students at the academy. Often competing for the title of “smartest student” with the dedicated Nara who maintains a precarious hold on the title, he’s undoubtedly one of the most talented students in his age group, and from an outsider’s perspective his life seems to be a smooth progression of achievement.[/indent]

Having spent all his life honing his skills, he’s confident in his abilities, and he prefers to believe that his continued advancements are a result of his training rather than natural-born talent. He sees his eventual rise as clan leader as a fact, given that he’s indisputably the best candidate for heir at the moment, and he lives as he believes is fit for this duty. Though he has lived much of his life with the clan elders and adults speaking for him, he has found himself disagreeing with some of their methods and thoughts, though he cannot imagine speaking up quite yet, much less opposing them. In the village, the Taketori are a source of skilled shinobi, especially for combat or skill-focused positions, and many Taketori are involved in governmental and leadership roles. In addition to combat, their clan also focuses on training, and they run the biggest taijutsu dojo in Konoha. However, while the Taketori’s abilities and achievements are respected, their foremost concerns are with their own reputation inside Konoha, seeing as they’re lower on the totem pole than the Hyuga, who they see as their biggest rivals. Where the Hyuga wield their power with a cold, stern will that is honorable at its core, though, the Taketori have a tendency for dirty tactics in the game of village politics, provided it cannot be traced back to them. Though their antics usually stay within the clan in the form of ruthless criticisms and stereotypes, they aren’t above starting rumors or fueling gossip if they see the ends as justifying the means.[/indent]

Though it is uncertain where this feud stemmed from, there are many points of contention between them, the main one being that theirr clans share many of the same characteristics: a dojutsu kekkei genkai, the same physical characteristics with dark hair and light eyes, and a specialization in taijutsu. Though the Taketori eye tends towards grey and the Hyugas’ are more purple, an uninformed viewer could easily confusion the two dojutsus. In addition, while the Taketori run the biggest taijutsu dojo in the village and are well-known for their discipline and training, the Hyuga’s Gentle Fist style holds the title of being Konoha’s strongest taijutsu style. These similarities ruffle their feathers to no end, and their discontent is compounded by the fact that the Hyuga clan is perceived to rank higher than them on the political totem pole. Though the tensions between the two clans are not as strained as they once were, both clans have retained a general dislike for the other, with the Taketori clearly being the more judgemental of the two. To the winners the spoils, as the Taketori are fond of believing in this largely superficial feud over a subtle difference in honor and power, but such are the plights of the powerful.[/indent]
