I did notice that the Mega is a Data digimon, rather than a Virus one, while also more adapting to the close-handed style of combat from the looks of things. Seems like a duo that could be in search of clarity together, and will (hopefully) eventually find it.

Go's own development may be a quest of clearance, and purification of the soul. Perhaps it's something that Kyosuke also needs. 

They go well together.
