Name: Jack N. Breaux Sex: M Occupation: Frontiersman (or Mountain-man if you prefer that terminology) Height: 5'7" Weight: 151 lb Appearance: Eldritch Encounters:

Survived an encounter against a Rougarou
Spotted a Skunkape (albeit while drowsy)
Traits:

Mountain-man: Jack N Breaux is a mountain-man; he knows what is necessary to survive in the cruel world of nature and as such has picked up knowledge about various flora and fauna in the regions of Louisiana and areas near the Rocky Mountains. He knows how to skin and prepare animals for consumption and sale, how to fish, forage, etc.
Militia-man: From his previous experiences, Jack N Breaux learned how to front on the front lines whether by gun, bayonet or by fist. It also disciplined him into completing orders even under times of stress. And of course, even though he hadn't done it in awhile, Jack can play a mean drum still.
Cajun by Choice Living in the marshlands of Louisiana, Jack has learned a bit of French and could hold a small bit of conversation with them as long as they can understand that backwoods dialect. He also knows a myriad of recipes from the area.
AMERICAN Jack N. Breaux is an American dammit, and by the Lord he'll show it. He will especially show it to foreigners by actively playing it up.
Methodist Ever since Breaux saw that one traveling preacher man on his way towards the Rockies, he knew damn well the way to avoid fire and brimstone was to become a Methodist.
Illiterate Jack N. Breaux, while talented in other areas, has no idea how to read.
Cynophobia That experience with a Rougarou had left Jack shaken to such a point that he has an absolute hatred and fear of dogs and will try to eliminate the threat as soon as possible if he can, or flee from it.
Equipment:

Charleville Musket (alongside ammo/maintenance equipment)
Bowie knife
Patch knife
A Signet Ring: Engraved into top is a star made of lines that curve into a point giving the symbol a look as if it was wavering, while in the middle of he start is a what appears to be a branch with five offshoots two angling off from the underside and three angling upwards from the top.
Skinning knife
Hatchet
Bags
Order: Yes Background:

Born in Vermont in 1803
Parents quickly headed into the Louisiana Territory in an attempt to strike fortune
Became a drummer boy in the War of 1812
Lied about his age and joined the militia for proper fighting during the tail-ends of First Seminole War
Stayed in Louisiana after the war trying to make a living as a trapper
Attacked by a Rougarou but managed to survive
Immediately decided that due to this Louisiana was a horrible place and headed towards the Rockies to make a new fortune
Joined the Bouclier Dans Les Tenebres, after being contacted by a member of the order who had heard of the experience that Jack went through in Louisiana and offered membership and help, much like "Company Men" would receive in dealing in the wilderness. Jack easily accepted as he always took to brotherhoods like these.
Personality: Jack N. Breaux is an amiable individual who is quick for a joke and fairly even-tempered. However he has many distastes and can be rather pigheaded in his beliefs and ideals; a notable belief involves an absolute hatred of dogs and dog like things. He believes in hard work, freedom and America's right to reign from sea to shining sea.
