[@DracoLunaris]I have something remotely similar to this with my space colonies. They exceed the size restrictions on space vessels (1km long) but since they aren't used in combat (more like something to be protected from it) they've got a pass. I think so long you don't arm these up into becoming some sorts of super battlestation it passes and look, it does.
BTW, are you interested in meeting my faction I have several plot ideas. My people are kind of like elves in space even though they don't have any of that aesthetic outright. Both of our factions use space habitats as their primary living environment. We could be either friends or even dire enemies.
