The Little Spider makes a Some Big and Some Small Friends
A leg at a time in a dance of colors as the little spider approaches. A little tap tap tap upon the soft grass and soil. A pale face, a happy grin, and a claw upon his hat. He gives it a tip, just a little upon the elastic of the band. His head low. It's how he should greet a customer, and particularly one so imposing. The cowled woman towered over him, though not so quite as she upon the fairy, still looking upon the despair that is the sweet innocent creature that lies in stone. Regardless a customer was a customer. Make sure to treat them as valued and respected. It was simple Spinster conduct. The woman in a cowl with terrible curved blades had picked up Ribbit, his bear... thing. It didn't look much like a frog, but it didn't look much like a bear. It was just patches and stitching and cute button eyes with a permanent smile that looked up happily into the eyes of the Lady Leaza in friendship and understanding. Having her clutch Ozzy's dropped belongings he made sure to do quick little scans for his fabrics and clothes. He tried to remain composed, but there was just so many to grab and stuff and fold back into his basket. He was blushing, how embarrassing it was for him to be so clumsy. And a moment later she was upon them, his eyes trailing up her robes and cowl until he could see the darkness. He had a hand woven toque in his claws. She was bigger and quite unsettling up close. He gulped, his beady eyes beadier. She had greeted him and he nearly dropped the clothes folded in his arms when she demanded he give her a proper name. He was to open his mouth but then his eyes blinked. His head dipped to the side. "Lady Laeza? She of the Crossing, Lady Laeza?" The realization came with an almost curious grin as she offered Ribbit back to him and as he spoke he only seemed to be more delighted as if seeing a wonder. "Me mum tells me great tales and wonderful stories, of things large, small, and full of good glories. She told me to behave lest She of the Crossing, who knows of my soul and is always watching. Would accept a deal and take me away, if I don't listen and continue to stray. Mum claimed that she had voice and touch that unlike ice, but I can hear from your voice, that you're probably quite nice. My frog, I think, well her name there is Ribbit. She has a habit of falling cause she so likes to fidget. Thank you for returning her, with buttons like gems, maybe I can offer this, cause I hope to be friends." And with that the spider offered the Lady the toque in his claws while his other set of claws had taken Ribbit. After his little speech he did suddenly remember that isn't what she asked for and he suddenly blurted out. "My name is Ozzy! Lady Laeza..." He lowered his voice cause his name came out so loudly. "Ozzy Strings, at your service." He tried to do a little bow/ curtsy, thing with his long legs.
Once the exchange was made and pleasantries passed, he would pipe in for just a quick moment. "Sincerest pardons Madame Lady Laeza. Someone else needs a smile. Just a moment if you please." Bowing before the Lady Leaza with his four hands cupped as if he was a butler of some sort. He excused himself but only for a moment to direct his attention to the others that were in need of his particular skill, namely the subject in the room. While it seemed quite rude to talk about someone so nearby, particularly when she couldn't talk back, he thought it more rude that they'd ignore her. It was even more rude that he take from his basket into his hands as he approached the bust that was the Gobbledygook with the intention of placing it upon her head, BUT it was rudest of all to not offer such a gift and leave the poor thing bare. "Though I wish I could do more, so she be consoled, this is all I have to ward off the cold." Ozzy placed upon the Gobbledygook a simple hat. He believed that so sweet and delicate a creature would appreciate a pink flower to contrast the melancholy. The bright fiberous weave would help her head stand out from the rest of her frozen form. Ozzy looked at the fairy, disheartened by the sight before her. "Do not worry pretty fairy, you will see, we can get it back I think you'll agree." He gave her a big smile. It was a fangy smile, full of sharp teeth for biting, but the rest of his face was jovial, sincere, a little bit silly, and quite kind. His mind then wandered to the old man, who appeared to be quite garbed. He had to ponder what would accessorize.
