[@Akayaofthemoon] I assume by your biggest concern you mean how the science officer is going to differ from the medic?  I think I did an okay job of explaining what I see the role of the science officer being just a couple posts up, so I'll just copy that here.

The bio section would possibly help to expand on that, and more particularly what draws Valanx to this role.  As I said before, I'll try to get that up soon-ish.

As for the immunity to the Satasi pheromones, I really hadn't thought of an exact reason for why the Bereans are immune.  It just felt right, I guess.  I suppose there's some sort of logical reason behind it, I just don't know what it is.
