Sowing the Seeds of Doubt or That one Arc Where Horizon Starts Doing Some Sketchy Ass Shit
In this essay, I will delve into the foothills that will rise up into a mountain of turmoil within the Tower. The heroes will be faced with a choice: side with the company that houses and provides for them, or side with their friend whose life is little more than fodder to said company. With the resident alien's powers getting out of hand, he proves himself a threat to those around him. Will Horizon ignore his warnings of a demonic take over and place him in the infamous dampening bracelets, or will they believe that he does in fact pose a demonic threat and neutralize in a far more lethal way. Either, everyone's favorite gray guy loses. Outline: Ka'van's demon slowly gains control over him through emotional manipulation via his dreams. Ka'van's dream cause him to accidentally and unknowingly use his powers to destroy section of the tower, injuring Alice. Alice reports this threat to Horizon and is hospitalized in the infirmary. The teams are notified of their injured teammate. With everyone bringing in flower and balloons, it's hard to not notice that a certain alien is absent from the scene. Wow, what an asshole. Someone goes to look for said alien, and finds him missing from his apartment as well, things having been scattered about in an obvious struggle. Oh no, he's been taken. Upon confronting the Horizon officials, the heroes learn that Ka'van has been taken into custody by their security team and that he's not being cooperative. They admit to trying to force him to where the dampening bracelets, which he is very much against because said bracelets will weaken him to the point that the demon overtakes him and he ascends into his final form. It's p hot. BTW, most of the Horizon officials think the whole demon thing is a load of BS anyway. So the heroes start to debate with who is right and who is wrong here. Should Ka'van stop being such a pussy and just wear the damn bracelets? Or should Horizon stop being such pricks and treat the source of the problem, not the symptoms. The source being Ka'van's depression and declining health. Which Horizon can't fix because he's an alien. So, of course, eventually they put the bracelets on him and, oh no, the demon busts out like a stripper from a cake. Then we slide into the ultimate kaiju demon battle.
