As Penny might now learn as the girl seemed torn between the two options. On one hand, she wanted to help the townsfolk. She wanted to ease their pain and nerves, even if just a little. They seemed so on edge, that even a small spark could set them off and who knew what these wounded, paranoid people could do or become. The potential of such an outcome frightened the girl, but then again what didn't? Yet on the other, Jasmine wasn't entirely confident of not freaking out without Penny being here. The smell of blood was so strong, it was overpowering her nostrils. Like if someone had just shoved a stinky gym sock that had been left in a bag for several months in her nose. Her enhanced senses were going to take a while to get used to again, especially seeing as the more time that passed, and the more her body became readjusted to magic, the stronger her senses seemed to get. And then the fact that she was surrounded by extremely volatile people also put her on edge, and if she, a person meant to be helping them, freaked out then the entire town could erupt in chaos which Jasmine was certain she wouldn't be able to handle. No. Staying behind without Penny would be a worse scenario. Jasmine couldn't guarantee she could control her magic at the moment anyway. Best to stay with the older girl, that way if her magic gets out of hand Penny can do something about it. Especially with her mind still a bit all over the shop. "I'll go with you. If we can find the fish, then no one else will have to get hurt! Maybe we can even find a way to end this without bringing harm to the fish! Best to solve this peacefully than to have any unnecessary fights, right?" The blonde seemed quite eager as she spoke, nodding a couple of times to reinforce it to herself if nothing else. She might be naive in her thinking but without the full story or details, she didn't want to jump to the conclusion that they had to hurt the fish in any way. They might only be attacking because they were driven out of their home, because of a lack of food, etc. That and in a fight there was a chance of both parties getting hurt. She certainly didn't want to get hurt, nor see Penny get hurt. She was certain the fish didn't want to get hurt either, so a peaceful option suited all parties involved! So until all options had been looked at, she didn't want to fight them in any capacity. She figured from what the vet had said, she doubted they would receive the same mercy from them if they came across them and in which case she figured she might have no choice but to fight. But until then, she would prefer peace over violence. Though a question now burned strongly in her mind, and the more she thought about it the more maybe checking out the doctor seemed like a good idea. "But where do we even begin to look? They could be anywhere..." The vet hadn't given them much information, and he didn't seem to be in the mental state to be of much use. But then again, even if they healed the doctor there was no guarantee she would be in any state to talk to them anywhere. Even with healing magic, if you're recovering from wounds as severe as the man said then she would need rest. I demand it!" As Ignatius turned to look towards his companion, he would see the young exceed chasing a handful of the poor creatures around. Even they wanted nothing to do with the devil incarnate. The little demon lunged forward and grabbed one by the tail, yelling truimpantly as she saved it about like a limp noodle. "Hahaha! I have bested you, vermin! Now get in my belly!" Opening her tiny mouth wide, she now proceeded to try and eat the thing whole. Much to her companions horror no doubt, especially as it now seemed to be trying to eat her at the same time in a frantic last grasp attempt to escape.
