Though her eyes seem peculiar for her, what tends to draw people’s attention the most is the clear elephant in the room. Her gasmask, while probably some latent excuse for exotic fashion, actually works to help tamper with her Quirk in controlling it. Physically, she's about the expected height for her age.
[sub]Characterization[/sub]
It should be obvious that Junko is a very quiet girl. In fact, if seeing the gas mask wasn’t a tell-tale sign, then learning of the girl’s Quirk is usually good enough for most people. As such, Junko is more prone to listening and following what others think as opposed to being forward herself. Rendered speechless leaves one to be extremely inquisitive and sensitive to others and more likely than not, Junko is usually present just to support. Despite what her interesting visage may imply, she’s not as threatening as some might think. Ignoring the ghastly mask, she’s very much kind when she’s needed to be. She’s not too bothered if others are nervous in approaching her; in fact, some might say she’s more emotionless because of such nature. Still, actions speak louder than words anyway and Junko's actions are usually small and gentle ones.
[sub]Personal History[/sub]
Born and raised in Niigata, Junko always wondered why she wasn’t allowed to sing with the other girls. Whenever she tried to, the others would always give her weird and sometimes pained looks. It didn’t take too much longer after to realize the problem was her. And so she kept quiet, gaining status as the “mute”; when she was given her trusty gas mask to regulate her gifts, she became the “weirdo” instead that made people uneasy when they looked at her. Well, that was fine. Junko had become used to it by then, accepting her powers as something that disturbed other people. But at least she had the Sea of Japan, bordering right off Niigata. Often spending her time there, it was a safe place where her voice could do no harm; or rather, the ocean waves simply roared right back at her, near drowning out her own words. Such power and nature, a force that couldn’t be controlled…the ocean intrigued Junko, setting her sights on those who had real power. Superheroes. People gifted with incredible abilities and extraordinary powers. Curiosity turned into admiration and the seeds of a new hero began to blossom. If her powers could only hurt people, why not surround herself with people who couldn’t be hurt?
[sub]Character Development & Conceptualization[/sub]
Junko is a girl willing to learn all there is to be gained when it comes to controlling her power. However, she has a skewered view of others who possess Quirks, often sometimes idolizing them as per the idea she fits in among them. It’d be nice to probably bring that idealization to reality, show her what being a hero is really about. It’d also be nice to see her make some friends. Her power, as with all students, should be developing the more she learns and grows. Though the journey will, of course, be long and enduring, the end goal remains the same: advance her power to the point where it can make brains bleed. That’s not up for negotiation; that’s going to be the end goal. It’s just a matter of getting there and seeing how far she lasts as a character. That being said, until that point, she probably won’t be too useful as an offensive hero. The intention is for her to be the support role, maybe even the resident Edgelord depending on where her characterization goes. The secondary goal would probably just to see her make more friends and see how she interacts with others of her nature.

Abilities & Talents

[sub]Quirk Type[/sub]
Emitter
[sub]Quirk Description[/sub]
Junko’s Quirk, Dissonance, manipulates the frequency of sound in the air through her voice. Normally, her voice cannot be heard due to fluctuating at a higher frequency to what’s normal for humans, heard only as a high-pitched white noise. Whenever she does speak, Dissonance causes dizziness and nausea to all those who hear it within a range of five meters. Although she has some tolerance to her own Quirk, she’s still very much affected when speaking, albeit at a slower pace than others. Her gasmask, however, keeps this fluctuation in check. Certain dials upon the sides of her mask allow her to control the frequency of her voice. Her favorite function is the voice dial feature, allowing her to change her voice into different tones and pitches. It serves no practical application given it’s just manipulating her own voice, but it’s fun to use all the same.
[sub]Other Talents & Attributes[/sub]
Because of the way in which her Quirk works, Junko’s natural hearing has improved to that above of a normal human’s. Despite this, she’s a good listener even without her abilities in mind. Restricted in speech has allowed her to use her hearing senses more often, making for a good confidant when someone needs another to listen. With good listening skills comes much secret keeping as well. No one ever expects the quiet ones to talk back, making Junko the perfect person to confide to. And perhaps take a secret to the grave. Aside from those dramatics, she's good at playing the piano.
