If I were to tell you that I'm an intellectual sort, how shall you know the truth of it? Not by my words, but my actions. If I were some two faced or deceptive person, would I tell you this outright? Would it have any meaning if I did? One doesn't give themselves a personality--one's personality is determined by their choices, and quantified by their peers. Although you could always re-read this report, I suppose! That'll certainly tell you something of me."[/indent]​

[indent]​"Well, like most people I had two parents at some point. I also grew over time from being somewhat quite smaller and less educated to the way that I am now. If there are any differences in my life story from your own, perhaps it's that I have quite a few brothers--eight of them in fact--or that I ​have traveled a fair bit. I might have begun my profession at a younger age than some--though whether you'd call what I do a profession or not depends, I suppose.

To say I have taken great efforts or struggles would be disingenuous. We are all finding our own ways in the world. Who am I to say there is greater value in the warrior’s sword than the farmer’s spade—he has certainly fed more people and killed fewer. Yet it is also better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war. What does it matter whether one is born amongst nobles, the poor, or the clergy? Rather than your station, I would ask of your character. In this I shall certainly say--there is no value in evil. 

But I suppose I should admit, I am being somewhat secretive. Please forgive me. Ultimately there is no great secret to my history. I found a talent for myself, and I shall take it wherever I go, to do what good I can, for whosoever I shall do it.” [/indent]
[u][color=sienna][b]Combat Talents[/b][/color][/u]
[indent][b]”The only reason a Warrior is alive is to fight, and the only reason to fight is to win.”[/b]
The Drifter is skilled with a blade. He fights without shield or armor, shifting his grip from one hand to two. He moves to avoid rather than defend, to preempt rather than to react. Against larger opponents he gives way, against the faster he changes rhythm, and against many he fights only one.

[b]”Spirit and technique, flawless and firm.”[/b]
The Drifter seems to know something of Magic, but uses only a single spell. Known in some warrior schools as [url=https://zelda.gamepedia.com/Focus_Spirit]Focus Spirit[/url], or Magic Power Release, it uses one’s magical energy to increase their raw physical attributes and sometimes channel an elemental affinity through direct attacks.

The Drifter’s senses are sharp and his mind perceptive, while his reflexes merely react to a sharp mind and perceptive senses. He is much harder than normal to sneak up on and may pick up on hidden threats, but he certainly isn’t precognitive. Neither is he immune to magical illusions.

[indent][b]”A sword’s only weakness is that it is only a sword.”[/b] 
The Drifter is a swordsman. Not a hunter that creeps silently, not a mage with the knowledge of libraries, not a fixer of things or a leader of men. He may offer advice, an opinion, or a helping hand, but his only talent lies with the blade. 

[b]”Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear, nor do they understand.”[/b] 
Rarely will Drifter answer a question directly, or speak clearly and concisely. His parables, koans, and various -isms are offered out of good will, but they are not free. 

[b]”Compromise is but the sacrifice of one right or good in the hope of retaining another—too often ending in the loss of both.”[/b]
Drifter’s goals, values, and principles may not be clear at a given moment—but you will [i]certainly[/i] know when you have offended them. He will not bend these rules, and it may make him incredible stubborn and hard to work with depending on circumstances. Especially if it becomes necessary to make sacrifices for the greater good.
