[indent]At just below average height he is shorter than most others. He is of average stature and his half Japanese heritage is apparent. His appearance is often disheveled, as though he didn't have the time to get ready. (Even though he did.) He has little black horns that protrude through his messy white hair. The size and shape of these vary depending on how much of his quirk he is using.[/indent]

[indent]Quiet and calculating. He ponders on many a great deal of things. Always thinking things through before acting. This makes him steady but cautious. He can seem a bit cold or distant at times because he is so heavily focused on his academics. While kind hearted and polite, smiles are rare and few between as more often than not he is too serious to enjoy himself.[/indent]
[sub][color=Firebrick][b]Personal History[/b][/color][/sub]
[indent]Many years before him, his mother passed through this very school. Rising from poverty her goal was simple, to support her family and village. A talented power-shifter she slipped through the school without much notice, content to fill a supporting sidekick role. Her goal was not truly met until she met and fell in love with a travelling business man. Rich beyond her belief he gave her everything she asked for and flew them back to New York.

This is where was Ryo was born. But it slowly turned out the business man was not quirk-less as once thought. He was connected to a dark dragon like entity, more unruly and dangerous than he was ambitious. His goal all along was to be merged with his quirk, this uncontrollable creature. The nature in which he had used it to intimidate and terrorise his opposition had turned it cruel and wild. 

Ryo's mother did what she had to do to survive, to get out of there. She did everything that she could to save her children from this man. In the end she only got out with her youngest. Ryo. But she never tells him of the other that got left behind with her now villainous monstrous husband.

She flew back to her home to see all the great improvements already gone. It was left in a worst state than ever before. It was then she knew it would never be safe here for Ryo. Using some money she stole she changed his his last name and paid an influential family to take him in and get him into the academy.

[indent]Finding passion and meaning. Building bonds and making friends. He is currently trapped in his own little world focusing purely on himself. Believing academic scores and family pride to be the existential measurement of ones worth. He needs to do well to be loved and is always trying to justify his worth. Currently this is all he focuses on. 
I want his path to be a murky one as he tries to develop new values.[/indent]

[indent][u]Dragon shifter;[/u] For as long as Ryo can remember he has never been truly alone. While experiencing no love from his father, abandoned by his mother, there was still always a comforting voice to talk to. As he grew older this voice manifested into a creature. A small dragon. The dragon could exist internally or externally of Ryo's body. It can never travel too far from him or for too long. Once it exceeds its distance or duration it simply fades from existence to slowly regrows within him. At all times they share a unique connection. 

While internal he can shift it around and manifest its dragon features on his own. Growing small wings, extending it to his hand and gaining small claws, or producing some defensive scales. There is undoubtably more he could do but he has never put the attention or focus in testing his abilities.[/indent]
