[@Dusksong] A pleasant morning awaited in Pureplain City, with the city waking up and people heading to their respective destinations. Here, Eryn arrived at the Pokémon Lab to receive her first Pokémon and embark on her journey. The lab itself was a single-floor building with a sign that said “Pokémon Lab” on it that didn’t really look like a lab, and then an offshoot on the right side which looked like a regular home that connected to the lab part. Inside the Pokémon Lab, Professor Kalmia was… sleeping. On the floor of room stood a Slowpoke, vacant eyes looking at absolutely nothing in particular as it seemed the professor was going to sleep in again. From the other room over, Eryn’s solid knocks on the door resounded, but fell on sleeping ears a few rooms away. So, the scene continued peacefully… 'SLOW!' 'KYAH!' … … … 'Eryn! There you are!' Kalmia sounded out happily as she swung the door open for the newest young trainer to embark on a trip through Isson, one minute later. Kalmia was a decently tall woman, wearing glasses and had blonde hair tied into a ponytail, and wore casual blue clothes under a white professor-like lab-coat. Her hair was completely soaked and she had a towel around her neck for some reason.
+ lab-coat as described, because professor
'Come on in! I’ll get you started in just a second!' Kalmia waved her in, turning to go poke at her laptop on a table. The rectangular room immediately inside the door had bookshelves placed in a circle around an area in the middle, not properly taking advantage of the space in the corners. The shelves contained varying books and papers of research, as well as the occasional Pokéballs. In the back and right, a large amount of what appeared to be computer servers filled about 40% of the available space, and they were coupled to Kalmia’s laptop which stood on a desk to the left of it. Other than the laptop, there was also a large amount of papers and binders on it, making it impossible to place anything else on there. To the right of the table was a healing station from a Pokémon Center, with places to place six Pokéballs, along with a large cylinder thing with a glass middle and a hatch that one likely were to place something moderately large within. There was nothing that said what it actually was. While it was tight in here, it was still decently maneuverable and Kalmia knew where everything she wanted was. There was a door to the right leading to the offshoot house on the side of the lab, and from it was a pink Pokémon waddling forward at an extremely slow pace. In addition, on top of the servers was another Pokémon, a round tadpole-looking blue one with white stomach with swirly pattern on it. [sub][@Pirouette] is free to add if she wants Poli to do anything~[/sub] Kalmia went and recovered an item next to her laptop, turning and delivering the item to Eryn. ‘Okay, since you waited until graduation before embarking you’re a bit late, date-wise, and the other trainers have already picked up their Pokédexes and left. They’ll have a bit of a headstart on you. Anyways, I figure you want to get going as soon as possible, so here you go!’

‘This is your Pokédex. Now, let me explain a few things.’
‘First and foremost, your Trainer Card. It is your ID as a Pokémon Trainer, showing your name, index number as a Pokémon Trainer, a picture of you, the date you got your card, today, and it also shows how many badges you currently have. At the moment, that's zero. If you ever enter the Pokémon League, the Battle Dome or any Pokémon Contests, it will also show your results there.’ Kalmia said. ‘I took the liberty of inserting your new Trainer Card into your Pokédex, for the Pokédex won't function without it, but you can take it out when you need to show it or add a badge to it. It's in the back of the Pokédex.’ (You know how the Pokédex looks like a Game Boy Advance? It's in the place where you'd insert a game cartridge. You may pick what colour yours is~) ‘Your Pokédex has multiple functions. The main function is to give you information on every Pokémon you encounter and register the Pokémon you have caught. Scan a Pokémon by simply holding the Pokédex towards the Pokémon in question and press the scan-button. You'll be told information about said Pokémon, and by capturing the Pokémon you can also see its expected sizes, what moves it knows, what level it is, what types it is, where it is expected to live, all sorts of stuff. Note, Pokéballs needs to be registered to a person in order for them to function, and the Pokédex does that for you when your Trainer's Card is inserted. It's already linked to the PC as well, so any Pokémon beyond the six you're already carrying will be transported to the PC, and you can retrieve them at any Pokémon Center PC.’ It is common knowledge that you can only have six Pokémon at you at any time. ‘If you check the Pokédex, you can play the cries of a specific Pokémon you've previously caught. Use that as you wish. You can also use the Pokédex to find out where you might be able to find a specific Pokémon that you've scanned and want to catch... Or, well, you WOULD be able to do that, but the Pokédex has never existed in Isson and as such that data is not recorded. However, you can input it! So, if someone ELSE of you guys has inserted the data of where one might be able to find a specific Pokémon, then it will display on your map similarly! You can also supply each other with information about your previously caught Pokémon if you wish! Do help each other out~!’ So no need for ALL of you to complete the Pokédex if you don't wish to, you can do it as a team. ‘In addition. Since we are doing this on mission of the Pokémon Research Association, we're actually getting paid. For each Pokémon you catch, the data of where the Pokémon was encountered and such will be recorded, and a number of Pokédollars will be transferred to your accounts. Also, assuming you register a Pokémon trainer battle, you automatically get the winnings transferred to you should you win the battle. Really easy, and you don't lose anything by losing, so you don't have to worry about running out of money out there!’ The Pokémon Association has to do SOMETHING so that Pokémon Trainers don't go broke out there. (… And please ignore the financial contradiction caused by not losing anything by being defeated. I feel you shouldn't have to fear getting into Pokémon battles for monetary reasons!) ‘It's also a communicator that can be contacted by both phone and Pokégears as well as other Pokédexes. I took the liberty of inputting the contact information of all the other Pokédexes I've handed out and to my own central Pokédex, but you can register any other people just as you wish. Give me a call anytime you're in trouble and need some advice! I'm not a Pokémon Professor for nothing!’ Kalmia smirked happily, looking out over the new trainers. ‘Any questions?’
‘And with that done…’ Kalmia would then say, reaching over to her PC and clicking a number of buttons, before a Pokéball was downloaded into a small container that we will say that all PCs have on the side. She then took the Pokéball and turned towards Eryn with a smile on her face, walking forward before handing it over to her. ‘I don’t really have a bigger ritual than just this. Here’s your Pokémon. Treat him well.’ - You've obtained Charmander! - Pokédex Entry #4 – Charmander, the Lizard Pokémon. A fire burns at the end of its tail from its birth, and the strength of the fire indicates its health and current emotional state. This fire cannot be put out, as it burns by fuel from within. It prefers living in very warm conditions. Caution is advised near newly born Charmanders, as they’re not careful with their fire yet. - Would you like to give Charmander a nickname? - Here’s an opening for Eryn to take the Pokémon out of its Pokéball and perhaps react to things and ask her own questions while Kalmia smiles happily. __________________________ [@Pikmin Eye] Martin headed out of the factory area and into a Pokémon Center to get healed.
‘Hello, and welcome to the Pokémon Center. Would you like to rest your Pokémon?’ Assumingly, yes. ‘Okay. I’ll take your Pokémon for a few seconds, then.’ She’d then accept the Pokéballs and put them into the machine, and… Di, di, di-do-da! ‘Thank you for waiting. We’ve restored your Pokémon to full health.’ She says as she hands the Pokéballs back. She then bows to her customer and gives a friendly smile. ‘We hope to see you again!’
Then, he headed up to the Information District of Worldedge City in order to be able to leave the massive city. Leaving it behind him and taking the south exit, the sky finally became visible again… except, there was still the pollution of population in these watery farmlands, as well as a touch of mystic to the atmosphere.

Route 10
Route 10 is a route dedicated to the sustenance of the largest city in Isson, as well as in large part the other nearby larger cities. Throughout the route, depths of wet farmland stretch under an uncertain sky, where crops grow with unprecedented strength, supported by the might of Pokémon. The air is moist, the plants grow well, and the farmers walk around under the influence of Psychic powers. The roads in Route 10 lead in all directions, the Crossing over the waters beside Worldedge City to the Northern Landmass, through the Mountain Valley to Stillwood Village, or simply west or south to reach the farther areas. The Pokémon walking about the fields are Drowzees, yet the air has quite a few birds. There are Spearows and Taillows gliding about feasting on the bugs these farmlands naturally attract. Digletts are used to tilt the earth to create the optimal environment for farming, Bronzongs float about causing the occasional shower of water, with Bronzors being trained to eventually evolve and join their number. Here and there walks a happy Mr. Mime or a Mime Jr., the older ones creating shields around the crops and the younger ones trying to mimic them and failing. It's quite clear from the mystical air that this is very much considered quite close to Worldedge City still. There were a bunch of farmers in the fields as well, looking over the Pokémon and the potential threats. It gains nourishment by consuming dreams. Fun or happy dreams are more delicious, and it can get a bad stomach from nightmares. In battle, it puts enemies to sleep and then eats their dreams. It remembers every dream it has eaten, and if you make friends with one it can show you its best dreams with psychic powers. Pokédex Entry #21 – Spearow, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. It eats bugs in grassy areas. It cannot fly very high, but uses its wings to blow insects out of grass for easy pickings. It’s very territorial, and its reckless nature means it will stand up to even far tougher opponents to defend its claim. It has a loud cry it uses to warn other of its kind of danger. Pokédex Entry #276 – Taillow, the Tiny Swallow Pokémon. Many Taillows are young, just leaving the nest, and may cry in loneliness at night. It feeds off bugs and crops in forests and plains. It’s a very gutsy Pokémon, known to bravely take on tough foes. It likes warmer climates and will migrate during cold seasons. Pokédex Entry #50 – Diglett, the Mole Pokémon. They live underground and spend most of their time submerged. It’s weak to light, and will only pop up where shielded or in caves. They often exist a mere yard underground eating roots. They’re often raised on farms, because soil dug through by Digletts is left perfectly tilled for growing healthy crops. Pokédex Entry #436 – Bronzor, the Bronze Pokémon. They were found in ancient tombs, and implements shaped like them are too. Ancient people seem to believe the pattern on their back had mysterious powers. They are closely related to mirrors in ancient writing, yet no surface of it is properly reflective. X-raying it, there’s nothing inside. Pokédex Entry #437 – Bronzong, the Bronze Bell Pokémon. It caused a buzz when it was first dug up at a construction site after 2000 years. Dug up from the ground, these Pokémon were in ancient times revered as a bringer of rain and plentiful harvest. It can summon rain clouds, allegedly by opening portals to another world, it is said. Pokédex Entry #439 – Mime Jr., the Mime Pokémon. It likes to gather among people. It’s known to mimic the expressions and motions of others in an attempt to understand them. In battle, it mimics its opponent in an attempt to confuse it, before quickly dashing off while they’re confused. Pokédex Entry #122 – Mr. Mime, the Barrier Pokémon. A master pantomime, it practices constantly. It generates a mystic force from its fingers, creating an actual invisible wall by stopping air-molecules. Should it be disturbed during its act, it slaps with its broad, powerful palms. It enjoys conning people. The cooperation here appeared to be that Digletts make the earth ready for harvest, the Bronzongs spawned the rain that gave the crops energy, and the Mr. Mimes defended the crops from things that would eat it. Then the Drowzees in Worldedge City were just so plentiful that the farmers put them to work wielding tools with their psychic abilities despite knowing their dreams are going to be so completely eaten come night. And that’s how Route 10 worked. Now, Martin was going to train Durant. Now, with the Steel/Bug combination, Durant was a terror for the Psychic Drowzees about. She also fared alright against the Bronzors and Spearow/Taillows, Steel defending against the Flying types. She also hit a decent amount of her attacks, despite Hustle, and the attacks then did a considerable amount of damage. This was good training against foes of decent level. Durant grew to Level 11! Durant learned Bite! … Over there, by himself, stood a fancily dressed man with a large, winged Pokémon near him. He had long hair, an orange hat with a green feather in it, the clothes looking way too fancy to actually dress in when travelling… He was most likely part of the richer cast of Isson, definitely given the ornate sword sheathed on his side. Especially considering his Pokémon, which looked like grace incarnate as it flew. He was battling a Spearow, which looked way below the level of its opponent.
Pokédex Entry #468 – Togekiss, the Jubilee Pokémon. The Pokéball hits the Spearow, and it falls and bounces on the ground. 'C'mon, c'mon...!' the trainer urged, his fists closing as he frowned at the rolling Pokéball, his look intense... CRASH! Spearow jumped out, looking towards the trainer a little oddly. 'AUGH!' the trainer sounded out. 'Parvati, we must weaken him! Use Air Slash!' he called. Togekiss waved its powerful wings, and soared forth, striking the Spearow with a massive wind-slice from the full power of its wings! … Spearow flew across the entirety of the fields and fainted! 'NO!' the trainer called out, falling down to his knees. There were seemingly tears in his eyes. 'Why am I like this...?' … And with that, he started openly sobbing, his Togekiss floating over with an extremely sad look in its eyes looking at his downed master, as if feeling really guilty about that despite not having held back at all. … Well, that's a thing! Well, there’s two of them. Cacnea is the most common, small cactuses with limbs and yellow flowers on their heads, you’re going to see quite a few in a normal trip through the desert without problem. If you have trouble finding one, for some reason, try smelling for the strong aroma it uses to attract prey, you can’t miss it if one’s nearby. Its evolution is Cacturne, a Grass/Dark type, and it comes out hunting at night. They’re strong and hostile. Avoid messing with those, unless you’re really confident. The other is Maractus, pure grass-type, no evolutions, pretty strong. There are considerably fewer of them in the desert, but if one’s close you’ll hear it. It produces a maracas-like sound as it dances to its own beat. They’re pretty cool. But, be careful if you’re going after one! You can’t predict what level it is by looking at it! It might be anything from newborn to a stone-cold destructive elite of the desert! Hahaha!’ So sounded the advice on the cactuses of Route 7. Dawkin then headed out, and assumingly he had apparently spent quite a bit of time in the Miner’s Hangout because Amelia had intentionally awaited it to be late so to get Dawkin on the same timeframe it’s now late too. But, indeed, there on this empty street stands this woman with a disturbing aura facing Amelia, who’s protecting a little Shedinja in her grasp facing an opponent far out of either of their leagues. Pokédex Entry #292 – Shedinja, the Shed Pokémon. It appears without explanation when Nincada evolves. It is said that if you peer into the crack on its back, it will steal your soul. … Then, after that… __________________________ [@Joshua Tamashii][@Eklispe] Angelique stared down at Amelia, her eyes showing no emotion nor hint at how she was taking Amelia’s words. Just the two of them looking at one another, and Dawkin happening to enter the street from the side and then pausing to look for now, and the large coffin-Pokémon behind Angelique. The atmosphere was tense, charged by Angelique’s presence, her cold eyes unflinchingly staring down into Amelia’s, and then… Dawkin felt nothing. Amelia felt a sudden ripple, something unexplainable to the sense she had typically used to find ghosts. It was like the air itself was dense fluid, and she felt a wave from when something had been sent through it, from Angelique to her Pokémon. A command. ‘GRIIIIIIII…!’ The excited Cofagrigus’ arms stretched forth past the unmoving Angelique at Amelia, arms of shadowy ghastly nature stretching far further than limbs of physical nature could have possibly. If nothing stopped them, their intention was to circle Amelia and grip her tightly in ghostly power, arms circling her and reaching for her arms in order to pry her embrace of Shedinja open, which they surely would succeed with if Cofagrigus got its four arms on her. If she attempted to dodge, they surely would reach for her legs to prevent her running. Amelia and Dawkin are both free to react as they feel suitable to the coming attack, which Angelique conducted without even speaking, simply standing tall and coldly watching Amelia. She had seemingly not noticed Dawkin yet, but in this atmosphere was that an assumption he wanted to make? What would they do?
