[color=5ec4b3]“Yes.” [/color]He says simply, only barely aware of the dissatisfaction present in Bree’s voice as he let Adora bandage his cut. [color=5ec4b3]“You’re a valuable resource for me and the church. Branding you ensures that if you ever get stolen, you’re considerably harder to resale without massive mutilation. Also doubles as proof of ownership if they do resell you with it intact. The collar is just because they look nicer than scars.”[/color] He adds, flexing his hand quietly for a moment as Adora finished her work. It was very well done, all things considered. Good to know. Always nice to have someone around who could patch up bodies if a family decided they wished to say goodbye to their loved ones before stripping their flesh. Kagan was many things, but a blessed cosmetic surgeon was not one of them. 

He gives the lilaic gem a quick appreciative nod before continuing. [color=5ec4b3]“Thankfully I know a professional. Did the burial rights for her husband and son a few years back. So it should be relatively easy on you.”[/color] He finishes scarfing down his pear, chewing quietly as his brides mumbled out their respective questions. Adora was at least trying to hide her apprehension, or at least doing a far better job than Bree. He hardly blamed the red head, given a gems comparatively lax life style a little branding probably seemed monumentally horrific. It would be cute if it werent so sad. All that said, he decided to keep a close eye on her for the rest of the day. Gems waiting until the second day, when their husbands guard would be more lax after sex, to try and escape. 

[color=5ec4b3]“Possibly. Though it may just end up being a brief exchange of thanks for his donation...that would be you.”[/color] He grunts, deciding to answer the smaller gem as she pecked his cheek. [color=5ec4b3]“As for why I want to leave the capital, I’ve spiritual obligations to my temple in Jerun. As nice as you might think it is, their need for a Kinner  supersedes your comfort.”[/color] He pauses for a moment, trying to think of something nice for the gem to hear but coming up empty. The fact that he would not have to argue with the brander about not wanting their genitals to bear his name would probably only distress Bree further or possibly start to worry Adora. With little else to say, grunts for them to follow and heads towards the door.
