Hobgoblin Gird
Going on an adventure >>>> Frolicking in the forest /// Day 5 // Morning Gird didn’t bother with the skeleton skulls for now but did take the time to wait for his companion to finish whatever it was she was doing. With the fresh coat of mud covering his bright skin he watched his friend as she put the bracelet on claiming that she now officially joined the ranks of Duvelna. After seeing this, he didn’t want to wait around any longer. “So first things first, find our other disciple of death then I would like to head north for some hunting of bats before making our way back to the cave to tell our elder of what happened.” Finishing his sentence he believed that Luz was also ready to go, however she did something different instead. She seemed like she could see something he couldn’t. “Dark glow?” he asked as he glanced around himself. “Are you ok?” the hobgoblin furrowed his brow at her as he watched her come closer. She seemed like she wanted to touch him as she reached out towards him and finally asked about it. “I have no idea what you’re talking about, but sure go ahead.” Gird wouldn’t stop her from whatever it was she was doing. After letting the girl finish inspecting him, he looked at her with a smile. “You don’t have to ask if you want to touch me I don’t really care. But right now, all I want to do is run.” and with a nod he turned toward the direction his instincts were pointing him in and dug his clawed feet into the ground hard. With a burst of speed that was, until today, unknown to him. Gird took off into the forest as fast as he could. Ultimately he was testing out his new speed, stamina, agility, and strength. He needed to find his limit and to know what it felt like, so he knew when he was getting close to tiring out. Jumping, rolling, climbing, and dodging over downed trees and thick brush. These once formidable obstacles were now more like a playground to exercise and just feel free. The hobgoblin even found himself ignoring any wildlife he came across preferring to scare them and keep running then cause any harm, at least for now. However, the scream of a nearby creature pulled him from his slight adrenaline rush and made him change his course towards it. Gird soon found himself slowing down into a crouched walking position. The forest seemed to grow still and strange sticky strings began to envelop the surrounding plants, he was sure they were getting close to whatever made that scream.
