With Cuyler’s height he saw easily and watched avidly. A smile spread across his face when he spotted Lyra. She had become a warrior in her own right and she suited the position and the atmosphere well but Cuyler’s attention was quickly drawn back when Ayra stepped out and the ceremony begun. It was the first he had been to and hopefully the only crowning he would attend and that was a spell in its own right. The atmosphere shifted as Ayra spoke. A spirit seemed to settle over Cuyler as her words drifted out to him. This was the moment everyone had been waiting for and an almost child-like wonder filled him as he stretched up to see a little better. A slight wind picked up, drawing the winter air around him and he settled into his furs a bit more. The crown was placed on Princess, now Queen Valda’s head, when a flash of light briefly filled the grounds and then disappeared. Cuyler merely thought it was some Magykal way of cementing Queen Valda’s rule but a steady stream of gasps and cries filled the air around them. Where Princess Luna once stood was an empty space. Cuyler’s jaw dropped and he looked around the entire pavilion, looking as if he could spot her behind them laughing at the trick she pulled over everyone. He looked over at Rowland to ask him what this could possibly mean now. Hadn’t Ayra and him gone through the Palace and placed Magykal wards over the whole thing? This shouldn’t have happened but somehow it did and the atmosphere grew from eerie and enticing into fear.
