Information About the Game: Setting: Most of the characters are dracons, a dragon-like race. You don't have to play as a dracon if you don't want to, but it is set in their lands. The RP takes place in a desert continent called the Dracon Lands (or the Dracon Continent), which is politically divided into a number of independent states known collectively as the Dracon Realms.) Technologically, dracons are about as advanced as the high middle ages in Europe (About 1200 - 1300 AD), without guns or modern weapons (although they do have magical explosives which are roughly equal to gunpowder). There are a number of major countries as well as a ton of minor ones, but the most important are the eight kingdoms. Each of these are centered around one of the nine largest cities in the Dracon Realms, and are named after the capital city. They are Minbenthac, Naushindcalgoa (or Naugoa for short), Hekaga, Taoulmuansi, Hewaniar, Hurthihes, Qumadoras, and Perionigo. Each city is ruled by a king, whose powers is great but not always absolute. It varies based on the city. Dracons are polytheistic. Most temples venerate one god or a set of gods, but larger temples can worship a host of deities. The largest houses of worship in the dracon lands are known as great temples, where thousands of gods are worshiped. Each of the eight major cities has one great temple. The Dracons: Dracons are dragon-people who are roughly human-sized. Male dracons are a fair deal larger and heavier than most human men, but the female dracons are about the same size as a human woman. All normal dracons have scaly skin, a tail, two horns, a snout with fangs (and a regular tongue, not a forked one!), and claws. Each dracon has three fingers plus a thumb and three toes and a spur claw. Dracon skin tones are monochrome for male, but females have a lighter secondary color on their underside. Dracons live to be about 120 - 150 years old on average, keeping a young-looking appearance and abilities until at least 100 years of age. The way dracons dress varies according to gender, with male dracons wearing clothes much like an human man, while female dracons use a loincloth and top. Dracons of either sex never use footwear. The most they would cover their feet with are cloth wrappings, and only under very rare circumstances, such as cold weather. As expected of a reptilian race, dracons lay eggs. Unlike reptiles, dracons are warm-blooded and the females can nurse their young. These peculiar features are due to the unusual circumstances which created the dracons. About 10,000 years ago, a large cabal of powerful mages, dragons, and a few other contributors pooled their resources to create a species which combined what they thought the best elements of humanoid species and dragons. Although bipedal and humanoid in many ways, dracons are far closer to dragons than humans. They can even breathe a weak acid, although this is rarely useful for harming anyone at anything other than a close range. Most prominent of these are kobolds, a small reptilian race which closely resembles humanoid lizards. Standing about half as tall as a dracon, the kobolds are weak and unsophisticated when compared to the dracons. As such, many of them have fallen under the control of dracon realms. Most kobolds live underground, but a large and growing minority live on the surface, where they either live in their own little settlements or they dwell in dracon cities as a minority, usually in their own neighborhoods. Kobolds are completely reptilian, and as such, their females lack the attributes that a female dracon (or human) would have. Like the dracons, they have clawed limbs and lay eggs. They can dress in any manner, but females usually wear a loincloth, a dress, or a skirt, while male kobolds use pants, shorts, sometimes a shirt. Both sexes can use robes, and like dracons, they never use footwear. The main kinds of mages in the game are wizards (those who study for their magic), sorcerers (who are born with their magic), warlocks (who make a deal with a powerful entity who gives them magic powers), and clerics (who can request spells to be cast by their deity). Characters: While the RP has gone through a lot of changes over the years, these are the currently active characters that I (the DM) play. Feel free to ask the other players about their characters. Note that Adykon and Aerta are the models used for the male and female dracons respectively. Adykon: My main character, Adykon is a semi-retired male dracon, living on a farm with his wife and many children. Born to a poor farming family, he was drafted into his state's army when he turned 18. A few years later, he was laid off due to budget cuts. Following that, he spent the next several years as an itinerant adventurer and a mercenary, trying to do the right thing and never serving evil causes. That said, he had issues involving commitment and never stayed in any one place for long. He was also a fan of blood sports, something he deeply regrets now. 25 years ago, he defeated a great evil named Dememoras, a self-proclaimed god and would-be conqueror of the dracon realms. Since then, he has tried to maintain a farm and live a peaceful life, but threats to the Dracon Realms keep pulling him back into conflict time and time again. Aerta: Adykon's wife, Aerta is a sorceress and one of the middle daughters of a large noble family. Years ago, she helped Adykon defeat Dememoras, and has since bore him over twenty children. Fortunately, their farm is rich enough to support the family with ease. As a sorceress, she was born with powerful magic. This power doesn't confer knowledge unto her, however, and she doesn't actually know how her magic works. For Aerta, magic is as much a part of her as her arms or tail; it just works when she wills it to. Ophion: A wizard of some renown, Ophion is an archmage and owner of a magic shop in Minbenthac, a store he runs with his wife Aurescia. Like Aerta, he fought against Dememoras back in the day. Unlike Adykon, he is by no means retired, nor does he have plans to do so. As such, Ophion regularly goes on excursions into the more dangerous parts of the Dracon Lands in search of ancient mysteries, powerful artifacts, or dangerous creatures to slay. Vespion: A high-ranking priest at the great temple of Minbenthac, Vespion is a true scholar. Not only does he possess powerful clerical abilities, but he embodies the spirit of faith and reason alike in that he is also a wizard of some skill. If he has a flaw it is that he tends to be pedantic and dogmatic, and usually thinks that he knows best in most situations. Of course, he usually does know best, given his vast intellect. Kara: One of Adykon's many daughters and a sorceress like her mother. Kara is currently engaged to Smith, a half-human, half-fey who currently lives with her parents on their farm.

Kali: A kobold living in the recently-built kobold city of Xigyll, Kali is a priestess working in the court of Rughoi, the half-dracon kobold king. She is currently interested in Kutur, the leading kobold mage of the city of Xigyll and another member of Rughoi's court. She is friends with Aerta, and helps her keep tabs on what happens with the kobolds.
