Trevor stayed in line, erect and straight-faced, despite his racing heart. He has never been in a military setting before, and he is quickly realizing his inadequate background compared to those surrounding him on this squad. Despite his current insecurities, he looked at each member as the others spoke. He looked at them in detail, scrutinizing their mannerisms and subconsciously noting their temperament. On his turn, he spoke with his head forward, looking Maj in the eyes as he spoke: "My name is Trevor Hickory. I have no military experience to speak of, but my skills will be sufficient to speak for themselves." his heart felt like it might leap from his chest as he looked into Maj's hard eyes. He could tell she was scrutinizing him just as much as he did with the others, and that put him off quite a bit. Nonetheless, he continued to hold her gaze until she looked away. When she did, he realized he had been holding his breath. He let it out slowly. So far, he really liked what he saw. He knew he didn't work well with new people, but he already prepared himself for that, and right now he constantly set aside judgements he made right off the bat. "These are my team members now." He thought. "If i expect them to trust my abilities, then i have to trust their intentions." He allowed himself a small smile of triumph over his own predictions and prejudices of the others.
