(If you were to say he was being hunted by the mafia or some bad people had threatened him for something he wrote, for example -- or maybe someone he's close to was killed on the job and he's scared to death of being next, or something -- the excess violent skills might be justified!) [@Zoro] This is ... really specific. As if you're basing some of it on personal experience? The concept is great, that this dude's got a few things to learn about humility. I gather that he's really not that great in all the skills he claims to be awesome in, haha. I'm not positive how to spin the town-hiring-a-consultant thing though, from a mod standpoint, since I'm not that familiar with it. He would have meetings with the mayor, perhaps? Town council? He has to experience the town to know how to market it? What kind of business would they be trying to attract, if not the new influx of tourist money from ghost-hunters? :D If I understand specifically why the town is hiring a consultant, it'd be easier to play the NPCs involved.

Perhaps it's a private individual who's hired him (I just can't imagine a town agreeing to pay tax money for his services, but it's possible) -- a high profile person whose business depends on Duskwick somehow, whose recent efforts (for example) to mold the town into something more upscale have been thwarted by this rumor. This person would then need a consultant to attract back the high rollers who've started to turn their backs on the project. Maybe? I dunno, it seems a consultant's arrival might be reason to insert another source of conflict in town. :D

Also, a youtuber may well have posted a pic of a lady being mauled by a tiger in Duskwick, but it's faked. ;) Who knows whether anyone would know that though! Could be a plot point! Nobody has been hurt except by falling while running away from stuff. But then, no one knows what happened to the people who vanished.

[@Briza] D is great! It'll be cool to see her opinions on stuff and how she investigates. I do have to ask though: what is the actual reason for the suit as opposed to the normal paranormal investigation equipment (is there an advantage to having heavy armor?) and what exactly is this equipment capable of ... and why? Did I see a mention of laser guns?? Explain plz? xD
