D's laser gun is more so in reference to [i]Ghostbusters Universe's[/i] proton guns, which shall not be destroying buildings, and her suit is not just a Mecha-Paranormal Hazmat Suit Carry-All but also a protective armor that shields her as she transports through energy fields, toxic environments, artificial conditioning, navigation, communication abilities, and above all else, the ability to beat up any potential dangerous monstrosities. :punch

Actually, I am mistaken. It is just a Mecha-Paranormal Hazmat Suit Carry-All. Ho hum.

Edit: She also gets night vision and evp recorders and et cetera with the suit.
