[color=crimson][indent]At a passing glance, Darien looks very much like a hipster with his rather large, thick square glasses. They tend to hide his handsome face, a result of much work as he takes great care of himself, probably having just as many beauty products as his fiancee. Tall and on the more muscular side, his olive complexion compliments his dark hair and hazel eyes. He tends to dress on the more casual side, a shirt and jeans being best, though he is just as comfortable in a suit.[/indent][/color]

[color=crimson][indent]Friendly, charismatic, and overall easy going, Darien isn't the type to just sit and wait, he would rather get his feet wet and jump into the next adventure. Then again, his type of adventure tends to differ than most; while he does like to crack a beer open with the guys every once in a while, he focuses more on rock climbing, hiking, and enjoying nature. His determination to see a task to completion and go above and beyond expectations make people think he's a perfectionist. Well, they're right, but he doesn't see it that way. He isn't afraid to speak his mind, though he does know how to word himself so that people understand where he's coming from. His patience is seemingly bottomless, the most anyone gets out of him is annoyance. Still, he is faithful to his love and his friends, and is very excited to get married.[/indent][/color]

[color=#C23C3C]Upbringing Synopsis[/color]
[color=crimson][indent]Despite coming from a well off family, Darien has never been afraid to work with his hands. He's been working since he was sixteen, at first volunteering for an animal shelter and slowly moving into an internship at the same hospital he would eventually end up working at. His love for animals was prominent from a young age when his mother found a small group of rescued animals in his bedroom, so when he got his degree, absolutely no one was surprised. He took his studies rather seriously, managing to score himself a scholarship into Cornell University on merit. He was usually poked fun at because he would rather study than party, though he really only had a few close friends, so to him it wasn't a big deal. Sometime before he graduated, he reconnected with Cole, and for him it was love at second sight. He'd never actually admit that he had been enamored with her since they were kids, but this time she seemed to return his feelings. The rest was...well, history. He purposely lets Cole tell the story of how they got together, feeling it would ruin the magic if he told what actually happened. Still, he's very much in love with her, focusing more on their future.[/indent][/color]
