I looked around the bar once again, carefully examining each person here. I see a couple sitting across from each other holding hands and giving each other what a child may refer to as "goo-goo eyes". Another woman is sitting in a booth in one of the corners of the bar. She has a pen and notepad out and is furiously writing something. I like to assume she's an author having a moment of insane inspiration and passion. A man seated further down the bar glanced at me but quickly looked away when I met his eyes. Usually, this means he might fancy me, though taking into consideration what I do for a living, it's still possible he may know who I am. I should keep an eye on that one. The blonde waitress finally walks over to me. "So, what can I get you?" She asks in a posh British accent. "I'll have a beer." I reply, masking my Russian accent with an American one. "One beer coming right up." She quickly fills up a glass and slides it over to me. "So, what's your name?" "Lenora." I tell her. "Nice to meet you. I'm Jocelyn. Are you new around here?" "Yes. I've been traveling a lot and decided to rest for a bit here in New York. Thought I'd try out a bar I haven't been to before as well." "Well, I hope you enjoy your time here. It's quite-" Suddenly, gunshots fill the air as armed men burst into the establishment. A few people that were sitting in booths get up with their guns drawn. Civilians both inside the bar and outside are screaming. Unfortunately for the ones inside, there's nowhere for them to run. Fortunately for me, I'm not as helpless as some of the people in here. I don't plan on dying like this. I stand up from my seat and take off my jacket, laying it on the barstool. I grab the glass of beer and hit it against the counter in just the right spot, resulting in a nice, big shard of glass for me to use. I turn and run towards one of the armed men, whose back is facing me. I jump onto it and slice his throat with the glass. He falls to the ground and I roll off his shoulders, immediately engaging in a fight with another man. Out of the corner of my eye, I see a body fly across the room. Looks like I'm not the only fighting. The man I'm currently fighting takes several jabs at me but soon succumbs to the same fate as the man that came before him. As his body falls, I finally see that some of the other people that were in the bar have been the ones fighting, including the man from earlier that I found to be a bit suspicious. He seemed to be a very capable fighter. I was about to run towards another armed man when someone suddenly wraps their arms around my neck, dragging me back. I slice the arms several times with my glass shard, resulting in sharp cries from my assailant. I turn to face him and kick his crotch. He falls to his knees and I slice his face with the glass. With all the people that were fighting, it doesn't take too long for it all to end. When the dust settles and the last body falls, all of the civilians that were in the wrong place at the wrong time run out, leaving those that fought standing around in the room.
