She hadn’t been born when the first competition to showcase such vehicles occurred in Vannetais in 1889 at the Exposition Universelle of Paris and most of the other showcases at other fairs had been on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean for the most part. She had heard that in April of next year that the world’s fair would return to Europa, though it had been announced the location would be in Aachen of all places. Nadalena wasn’t sure what to think about being a “tourist” in a Xargonite city. “I suppose we could begin petitioning for our class year to visit Aachen come April. I'm sure you will get to see them first hand at the World's Fair.” As much as she didn’t want to talk about things at the moment Nadalena did find a comfort in all of it. There was something about talking to someone who was genuinely interested in technology and all of the bells and whistles that came with it. “Maybe you could pick some aviator's brain, though I suppose if you get too friendly it could be quite the scandal.”
