Thats pretty good! Ok, I'll get started on my two now. For the irish kids, I was actually thinking they were just on holiday, when everything went to shit kind of abruptly, maybe Ireland closed their borders or something and they got trapped on the mainland. For the others, no idea really. Maybe Italy? It's one of the few european countries I actually know more about than the basics.

Also, fun (probably stupid) little idea I'm gonna cannibalise from another story I came up with. Somehow or other, this apocalypse leads to a second Roman Empire. Maybe surviving rogue Vatican elements or something, where enough of them survive to keep a relatively stable chain of command, but they're also a bit more fanatical then they are at the moment, so the italian brothers, assuming they actually [i]do[/i] end up being italian, have had to escape, which is how they end up meeting.

Hell, maybe those rogue elements even created the plague, who knows?
