With his large frame and built physique comes his most intimidating feature: his entire body is riddled with scars and old wounds. His torso and arms have absorbed most of the damage over the years, but Garkan's face bears the deepest of his wounds: the mark of two swings of a pickaxe. Garkan's hair is always well-trimmed, and remains the most normal out of his entire appearance.
Personal

Born to an alcoholic foreman father and a mother who had problems with gambling and keeping her skirt down, Garkan’s childhood was anything but pleasant. Much of his youth was spent out on the street, unable to come home for the night because his father wasn’t entirely certain the boy was his own. So Garkan would beg, only to receive nothing. As a young boy he was quick, and would therefore spend his days catching rats and other small animals to feast on raw, unable to eat much else. At the age of 10, Garkan was malnourished and tired of feasting upon the vile flesh of rodents. He went to the home of his parents and demanded entry. His father, much to Garkan’s surprise, agreed to grant the boy entrance into the home and provided him with food and shelter. Unfortunately, this hospitality came with a price. Garkan, before being able to fall asleep every night, was beaten to a bloody pulp. His nights were spent being tended to by his mother, after she got back from wherever it was she had spent her evening. This abuse went on for four years. It ended when Garkan’s father took a pickaxe to the 14 year old, giving him the two distinct scars that line his eye. It was a miracle the boy survived, let alone with both eyes intact. Garkan’s mother didn’t return for hours, leaving the boy to cry in his small room. That was, until the crying stopped. The boy wasn’t a child anymore, as his mind was filled with rage. He went into his father’s room, where he was lying asleep. His father always kept a dagger on his nightstand, so Garkan fetched the blade and plunged it into his father’s neck. The older man’s eyes shot open, and Garkan to this day remembers the sound as his father’s gasps for airs were muddled as he drowned in his own blood. Garkan left the home that night and fled into the night. For quite a few years, he spent his days and nights living on the streets once again. But this time, he didn’t feast upon rats. He managed to find a sort of “underground fighting ring.” Garkan ate when he fought well, and starved when he fought poorly. It didn’t take long for Garkan to learn how to fight well, spending his days and nights training and exercising so that he could fight for freedom and food. Before long, he was granted the name of “Boulder” due to his indomitable will… and, quite frankly, his build as a young man. Garkan’s joining of the Dusthawks just so happens to coincide with the ending of this “underground fighting ring.” It is unclear exactly what happened, as everyone who tried to participate and watch that night were found beaten to death and slaughtered. Garkan, who never missed a fight since he joined, asserted he survived the massacre because he simply wasn’t there that night. Days after the incident, Garkan introduced himself to the Dusthawks after noticing their recent reputation. Garkan has since answered only to Adnos himself, seeing Adnos as a proper man and leader worthy of the brawler's respect. That is not to say Garkan has been particularly friendly and warm to the Dusthawks since his recent admittance; it's not in the nature of the master brawler to be kind.
Prime Motive: Dominance: Garkan seeks to prove his own might and power above all else. Accessory Motive(s): Family: Garkan seeks for some semblance of family, since the one he was born with is long gone and undeserving of his love. Independence: Garkan wants more than anything to be free to do as he pleases. Internal Conflict: Proving to be Better: Garkan’s greatest inner conflict comes from his desire to prove himself to be better than his father, whom he views as a villain. However, Garkan’s skills and actions prove himself to be very similar to his old man. Garkan likes his ale, his women, and his violence.
Vocational
Occupation: Bruiser/Bodyguard Talents:

Street Brawler: Garkan has a natural talent for unarmed combat, being a mountain of a man and having spent his entire life fighting for his survival in the streets of the Gray District.
Stubborn as a Mule: Garkan doesn't exactly stay down in a fight, his endurance allowing him to go farther than most would with similar injuries. Just an advantage to years of abuse.
Nimble Fingers: Surprisingly, Garkan has rather nimble fingers and is a skilled pickpocket for a man so large. His size actually comes to his advantage, making him an easy target to "bump into things."
Flaws:

Lack of Agility: Due to his size, Garkan isn’t particularly agile and is incapable of acrobatic maneuvers. This means escape isn’t very easy for him, and neither is dodging a bullet.
Lack of Tact: Garkan speaks rather bluntly, often leading to violent situations due to unintentional insults and the revealing of truths.
Don’t need no education: Garkan is illiterate and has never received any sort of education, beyond punches to the face.
Equipment:

Stone Purse on belt.
2 Daggers, one in Right boot, one on his belt, though they are rarely used.

Supplemental
Secrets: Garkan has caused various quarrels throughout the city, and has left enough corpses behind him that it's hard to keep the stories straight, especially when there's little doubt Garkan has serious head trauma from his years of brawling. Quirks: Garkan is known for having a few strange quirks. He is known for his fondness of sturdy Dwarven women, which is rather strange for a man like him. Garkan also tends to avoid eating meat when he doesn’t need to, instead tending to be fond of poultry or fish when he can get his hands on them.
