The spell Teroiah cast was not one used in conventional combat. It was a short spray of icy needles that struck everywhere in a cone in front of her, except for Meesei's ward, where they pitifully disintegrated. The small spell was meant to end the duel quickly by piercing Meesei's hide without giving her enough area to dodge. Siloune's brow lowered in confusion. Teroiah's eyes widened as reality hit her. However, while she kept her ward raised, her other spell hand moved on its own to cast a glowing sheen across her entire body -- a fortification of some description. She did not even allow herself a response to Meesei's taunting before charging something new. Again, it was obscured in nature, though this would not be lacking power if it the time she was taking was any indication. "She's moving faster," Sabine commented. "She knows she has to outmanoeuvre Meesei to charge her next spell. She is adapting."
