Their entire culture is about protecting it, and part of it was keeping that fact hidden, doing their celebrations to "protect" a god so to speak, one way they call the seal itself. As a result there are cults dedicated to it's worship as the Seal rather than a god. Technologically, Aquapolis has the best in hydro technology, as demonstrated by their city. Hidden to the rest of the world though is their magical technology derived from their advanced fort-like underwater shrine that protects the seal, as described when the DHO came to observe it's entrance, it was like a whirlpool into oblivion. Not even they know what the seal itself actually looks like, but offerings are thrown into it during festivities. Humans, while lacking the physical strength of a demon or angel, are often ingenious fighters to make up for it, making them excellent hunters. Demon: Demons are the native race of hell, they come in all shapes and sizes, and come from many myths and legends, but generally a demon is a supernatural being that possesses superior physical capabilities to that of the average human, and often have access to supernatural powers. Most demons come in a very horrific form, but powerful few are able to take forms that look almost completely or completely human. Angel: An angel is a divine being from heaven, there are two kinds that exist. The Laguna angels, where many of them appear rather inhuman, gaudy yet horrific and terrifying beings of great power. Then there are the Army of Light angels, the traditional kind, humans with wings and divine powers. Similar to demons though, they all possess superior physical capabilities to the average human. Half-Demon: Half demons are born of a demon and a human parent, though incredibly rare, possess a form that appears human until they tap into their demonic power. They possess the physical capabilities of a demon, while being consistently humanoid in appearance. Nephilim: Half demon half angels. Such a combination is impossible by normal means, a Nephilim is born by mixing together the dust and remains of both an angel and a demon, allowing them to give birth to a new being, the Nephilim. They possess abilities both divine and unholy, and similar to both demons and angels, possess superior physical capabilities. They are about twice as large as humans, and exhibit brutal natures. Cyborg: A cyborg is a human having gone under extensive or minor cybernetic enhancements. The enhancements can often vary, but very consistently have they enhanced their physical capabilities. This allows humans who have become cyborgs to stand even with some of the more powerful demons and angels.

The Three Factions

Hell
The Demon World, or Inferno, whichever name takes the speaker’s fancy, is the realm of hell, home to demons. Mundus is the primary ruler of this realm, even after being sealed two thousand years ago, his desire to rule over the human realm has not changed, and he leads an army to march upon it. Queen Sheba also has dominion over demons in this world, second only to Mundus. She is much less an ambitious force than Mundus who seeks conquest.

Hierarchy of Laguna
One half of the forces of Heaven, once led by Jubileus. The Hierarchy of Laguna are divine-yet-inhuman-looking beings, with skins of gold and marble, and of all different shapes and sizes. They value order, duty, and devotion above all else. While they appear to be of a finer temperament than their counterparts in Inferno, in reality they are single-minded, stern, and even sinister at times to humanity, with certain high-ranking Laguna expressing outright contempt or scorn for humans. Many of their lesser numbers appear to lack much of a will of their own, relying on more powerful and intelligent of their number for orders. A recent crisis has left them without most of their leadership, so who, if anyone, has risen to assume those positions is unknown at this time.
Lumen Sages
An ancient magical order with an affinity towards light and the sun, and who derive their powers from pacts with beings of Paradiso. While at one time the Sages worked alongside their counterparts, the Umbra Witches, to maintain the world’s balance, the Clan Wars saw them presumably wiped out, with the last known Lumen Sage perishing some centuries after the wars’ end. However, recently those who practice the powers of light have begun to reemerge, somehow surviving into the modern day, and have reorganized the Lumen Sages. Who would do so, and for what purpose, remains a mystery.
Army of Light
Led by Uriel, these soldiers make up the other half of the Heavenly forces, alongside the Hierarchy of Laguna. They resemble winged humans in intricate and advanced armor, and, with the loss of many of Laguna’s commanders, are the de facto leaders and strategists over all of Paradiso’s forces. While they are more sympathetic as a whole to humanity's plight than Laguna or Inferno, their primary interest is protecting Heaven, and will sacrifice or turn against human lives should they believe such actions will further their goals.

Gilgamesh Incorporated
In recent years, many humans have learned of the existence of Heaven and Hell, and not just experimented, but excelled. They see the world of mystery and magic as an opportunity, not just for fame and fortune, but for the good of humanity. The conglomerate formed by such parties is Gilgamesh Incorporated, named for the hero of legend who sought the power of the gods, and Gilgamesh Seeks to represent humanity in the war between realms and establish it as an authority equal to heaven and hell. Using state-of-the art technology combined with sorcery to augment themselves and their weapons, Gilgamesh wages war against those who threaten humanity with the Reclaimers, their private army, supplied by companies like the arms manufacturer Regalia.
Order of the Sword
Since the events some time ago with the almost complete destruction of the city of Fortuna, the Order of the Sword has gone under extensive changes. The Ascension Ceremony has been completely changed from it’s demonic original process, to more of a knighting ceremony, and the efforts and technology of the Order of the Sword was simply diverted to researching demonic and newly found, divine power, believing them to be a future threat to mankind, as well as the order. Now led by Kyrie, with Nero as her protector and general.
Demon Hunters Organization
In the shadows of the city, demons are not an uncommon occurrence, always finding some way to slip through the cracks into the human world. This is where the demon hunters come in. They work more like a guild than an organization, jobs get posted up, a demon hunter takes one, or is assigned one if they are urgent and special skills are required. Lady has as of late become one of the top ranking officials for this organization.
Umbra Witches
An ancient society of female magic users who harness the powers of the moon and darkness, and who evoke the powers of Inferno in their techniques. Umbra Witches derive their powers from demonic patrons, and once safeguarded the balance of Light and Dark alongside their counterparts, the Lumen Sages. However, several hundred years of war and Witch Hunts led to their near extinction. Recently, one of the last surviving Umbra Witches, Jeanne, has decided to revive the old ways, and share the Umbran cause amongst new sisters. Only time will tell what these new Witches fight for, and if they can reclaim their former glory.

Charred Council
Predating the existence of heaven and hell, and perhaps the universe, is this ancient authority. Tucked away in a plane of its own existence, the three Councillors stand in a volcanic crucible, and from there seek to maintain peace and balance over all creation. While the Charred Council has little direct power to do anything itself, its wisdom, precognition, and productive temperament has accumulated a vast amount of respect, followers, and agents, including the Four Horsemen. It was the Council that imposed treaties on heaven and hell to keep the peace, but now that the first seal has been broken and the treaties cast aside, the Council is reeling to regain control over the situation. To that end, its messengers seek new champions of balance. Points can still be spent into Style like normal though. Weapon Upgrade - You can spend points into upgrading your weapon and accessing stronger techniques specific to the weapon. Upgrades from level 1-3. Technique Upgrade - You can upgrade your existing Techniques into a Level 2 or Level 3 version, which lets you attach more and more powerful properties to them. Style Upgrade - By upgrading your Style, you gain new aspects of the style, and allow you to use more powerful techniques. For instance level 1 Trickster might grant you faster evasion, but level 2 will grant you agility for wall running and so on, but level 3 gives access to a high-speed teleport. Upgrades from Level 1-S (1, 2, 3, S). Costs (remember everything starts at level 1) Weapon Upgrade - Level 2 (6 points) Level 3 (9 points) Technique Upgrade - Level 2 (2 points) Level 3 (5 points) Style Upgrade Level 2 (9 points) Level 3 (12 points) Level S (15 points)
How to gain Points

Defeating enemies. These must be enemies sent at you by any of the GMs. They can be sent after you involuntarily, or as part of a mission you have chosen to undertake. Depending on number and/or strength of enemies, 1-5 points can be earned. Stylish combat. More on judging system later. Basically being stylish in combat will give you free points that level up the Style you use in that battle. Depending on style, 1-3 points can be earned, automatically added to your Style, if your Styles are full, these points can be spent anywhere you like.
Defeating bosses. There will be two kinds, ones that you will simply encounter, normally the first time you see them they’ll be far too powerful for you to fight and are best avoided, but later they can be hunted down and defeated for a massive bounty of points. Then there are the ones that are thrown at you during your missions, these ones are designed to be a challenge to you, but they can be defeated. You will earn 3-6 points depending on the boss enemy’s strength in comparison to yours.

::Gaining New Styles, Techniques and Weapons::
Techniques can be gained whenever you please, but certain types of techniques will be locked behind your Style level. New Techniques are free, but be sure to run them through a GM first, plus you are not allowed to add new techniques midway through a battle. New Styles can be obtained for 5 points, but it is recommended that players stick with 1-3, anymore than that, and it gets truly complex. Gaining new weapons can be free, or cost you something. To gain a weapon for free, you have to earn them, as the weapons you can gain throughout simple progression are existing Devil Arms or other weapons, so you will be limited to those. You can also make new weapons by spending 5 points.

Player List
