With a twist of the throttle, the rider revved the engine higher as his foot lifted, kicking the bike into its next gear as he turned off the interstate and onto the direct road to the tower. There was just something about the sun setting over the bay that called out to Richard 'Dick' Grayson. Maybe it was because it looked clean and serene compared to the smog-laden bay of Gotham, or maybe it was because the sun always reminded him of Kori's smile. It the wake of Doomsday's attack and the deaths of both Superman and Jason, it was nice to be reminded of some of the beauty and serenity that this world still had to offer. "Alice," Dick ordered, speaking in his helmet's communication's system. "Open the door, Daddy's home." Watching as the Artificial Intelligence complied with his request, Dick gave the throttle one more twist as he propelled himself towards his new home. Driving onto the apron, Dick pulled in the clutch, tapping his foot to gear down as he brought the motorcycle to a stop within the tower's garage. Loosening the buckles of his backpack from his chest, Dick let the bag hand on one shoulder while he unzipped his jacket and removed his helmet before cradling it under one arm. His long hair had been slicked back beneath the helmet but now rejoiced at its newfound freedom as it spilled to either side of his head. Rubbing his free hand through his hair, he tucked the left side behind his ear as he made his way to the rooftop patio. As the elevator doors open, Dick pulled a pair of sunglasses from the front pocket of his black leather jacket, pulling them on as he looked over those already gathered. He knew who all of them were already, each of them hand picked by him to join this team. They all had potential. Some more than others Dick noted as he looked over at Kara as she bathed in the sun, no doubt feeding her body's powerful cells. Her cousin, Clark, Kal-El, Earth's Superman, had set the bar high. She hadn't known him, not like Dick did. She never had a chance to build a relationship with the cousin who she last saw as a baby. Clark on the otherhand had been a mentor to Dick, he was almost family. When Dick's own 'father' turned his back on him, it was Clark who had taken the lost boy in, it was Clark who had consoled Dick after Jason's death and it was Clark who had gifted Dick with his own legacy. Earth's own Nightwing. Among the other gathered Titans were new recruits like Garfield Logan and Courtney Whitmore. They were obvious choices, others like Jason Blood and Curtis Falconer required Dick some more convincing before approaching them. They were less conventional, but perhaps that was exactly what this team needed. The rest, Dick was familiar with from the first iteration of the team. Roy Harper, the former Speedy and now Arsenal was doing well. He seemed to have cleaned himself up significantly from when Dick had last seen him. Roy had gotten the help he needed and turned his life around and Dick knew the team needed a seasoned member on their side. The only other person on the roof was Kori. Dick had stupidly forgotten how beautiful she was, especially as the day's fleeting rays of sunlight reflected off her smooth orange skin. Her hair was alight and lively, like a beautiful stream of flames gently flowing from her head. But it was her eyes that Dick had missed most of all. From a first glass they appeared to be entirely green, but once you looked into them you could make out the subtle variations in shades detailing her irises and pupils. Dick had stared into those eyes for hours before, easily finding himself lost in them again before remembering he had been awkwardly standing at the mouth of the elevator for far too long now. With a nod of acknowledgement, Dick did his best Bruce impression as he silently walked over to Kara, placing his bag on the ground before taking a seat and immediately getting down to business. "Has everyone been shown to their rooms? I'd rather they not get too rowdy tonight, I've got a pretty strict regiment of training for them in the morning." He stated with a no-nonsense demeanor.
