Here is a question for you [@That1Guy], for example (and i'm not sure if this is a dumb question) but elves supposedly live a long time or at least age really slowly- so would a child in their world be someone under 50 or are we having everyone do things in the sense of a human child where its everyone is old at 100 and young at under 18? Either answer i'm fine with- just curious as I start to think about character design :)
It really can depend, the world I base this off is one of my shortstories. To make this easier, the age range I am looking for is, in humans, 12-17 or, the general area where puberty starts/ends. So, humans 12-17 Elves 24-34 (Elves will quite obviously be a bit more mature than the younger races, High Elves will try to maintain a face of maturity even if their emotions and surroundings are just as clueless to them as it is to others, Wood Elves tend to be more outwardly emotional though, and will openly admit to not understanding something, but will often be willing to learn.) Orcs 10-16 ( Orcs physically mature faster than the others, being the largest of the children.) Naga 12-17 (Naga share the human lifespan, but emotionally do not mature until adulthood, possibly due to their coldblooded nature. They are often clingy as children as a result of needing warmth, and when mingling with the other races, are rarely found not in contact with children their age. )
