From the crowd, Terrance looked around slightly and saw the trio of girls just as they walked on campus. Arthur, watching his friends, directed his gaze towards them as well. He recognized the three of them, although he didn’t know them at all. However, Arthur knew that Terrance was specifically eyeing the young girl putting on red lipstick. Arthur believed her name was Hannah? Holly? Helen? He couldn’t really remember, it started with an H. Terrance started walking towards the two girls, and he and his friends followed closely. This caused a mass of other students to follow around them. The other girl he recognized from a party sometime last year. Was she the girl that splashed her drink on Jacob that one time? He couldn’t quite remember. [color=lightblue]”Hey, Helene! I was hoping to see you soon.”[/color] He gave a rather charming smile and ran his fingers through his jet black hair. Arthur rolled his eyes slightly. Terrance had selected a new target for conquest. 

As much as Arthur wasn’t interested in the whole “hooking up” culture, he understood why his friends were so active in it. They lived dangerous lives outside of school, and by acquiring someone you truly loved would instantly put a target on their back from enemies. Arthur took a deep breath. He remembered there was one girl that Jacob had fallen in love with. She started out as a fling, but as time went on, too many competitors and enemies were catching on that Jacob had found himself a “little piece”. Arthur remembered too clearly the night he had to break up with that girl, she was crying and just kept asking why? Why? Why are you leaving me? Arthur shudder slightly. Even though he was cold as stone, he didn’t know how Jacob could do something like that. Give up on someone you loved. Not being able to tell them why. Not being able to tell them that they would become a target and victim of attacks. Was she the same girl, Arthur wondered. He was pretty bad at faces and names like that.

Arthur came back to earth hearing Terrance’s voice again. [color=lightblue]”I actually went to China over the summer!”[/color] Several people began to ask questions, yet Terrance seemed very focused on keeping his attention on Helene. He went on about how he went through bamboo thickets, saw some pandas with their cubs, and interacted with locals. A very tiny curve came to Arthur’s lips. Sure, Terrance was telling the truth about being in China. However he was excluding the part about setting up opium trade deals with some Triads and assassinating competition. Arthur enjoyed Terrance’s storytelling before looking back through the crowd. Arthur noticed that Jacob was strongly avoiding eye contact with the one girl Arthur suspected splashing her drink on him. Arthur concluded that his assumption must have been right. 

Finally Arthur’s eyes rested on the third girl of the group. He had several classes with her in the past. He was surprised that she had friends, because she seemed just as quiet as himself sometimes. At least, anytime he looked in her direction she seemed to go quiet. He wondered for a second if she was in a similar situation, having more sociable and talkative friends than oneself. Much like himself, he observed, she seemed to drift into her own world just like he would. At least that is something he observed in her now and again. Arthur always kept mental profiles on everyone in school… except he could never remember their names, and this long haired blonde girl was no exception. He was often surprised that his friends didn’t more actively hit on her than her friends. In Arthur’s opinion she was significantly more attractive than the other 2. But just as Arthur was hard to decipher, his friends too worked in mysterious ways. Soon enough the bell for homeroom rang and the large group slowly started to break apart. Terrance came close to Helene, leaning close to her to whisper in her ear. [color=lightblue]”I’ll text you soon. But I think it is time we get Eva and Arthur together, don’t you think?”[/color] Terrance smirked playfully towards Helen. It was obvious that he could see something about how Eva acted around Arthur, that Arthur hadn’t noticed. As the crowds began moving, Arthur somehow ended up walking beside Eva. He didn’t pay her much mind, but he did nod to her as a kind of greeting, or at least acknowledgment of her presence.
