He kept pushing on the mans chest, quickly rapping out five thrusts on his sternum before tilting his head back and breathing into Atticus' lungs for him before repeating the process. Again and again and again. He would stop for a moment, check for a pulse, and then continue. Over and over again. The seconds seemed to tick by slowly. Time seemed to slow down as he worked. Feeling like he wasn't moving fast enough but to those watching he was. Anisa looked over towards Jackie and scowled. Not at her so much but at the situation as she knelt down. Spotting the doctor was breaking out into a sweat from the work it took to perform this. "Captain, my captain, what medical aliments did the good man of God possess?" he asked between breaths as he continued to pump on the mans chest. Thinking, Anisa wasn't sure. She wasn't medical, she was the captain. She did know his crew file though and there had been nothing disease worthy on it that she could recall. Now it would have been a question that Dorothy could have answered. The man had high cholesterol, high blood pressure, he drank like a fish, and injecting lard straight into his veins probably would have been healthier for him than the majority of the foods he ate when they got a hold of real food. "Fuck, I don't know. Other than drinking bottles of whiskey a day and eating like he was a teenager," she said as she stayed knelt down. Jahosafat nodded and gave the man another breath before going back to pumping on his chest. It was obvious that the fine physician was tiring. It wasn't easy to pump blood through a persons body this way. The rib cage kept the heart protected, so a heavy amount of force had to be applied with each thrust. Many people who had received this treatment came out of it with cracked ribs. Anisa narrowed her eyes. "Move." Her voice was domineering and hard even with the one word she spoke. Jahosafat fell back into his rear and Anisa climbed on top of Atticus. Straddling him as she started to mimic what Jahosafat had been doing. She might not have had medical training like the two doctors on the ship had but she was a Jack of All Trades and in much better shape than the ebony doctor was. So she would take over for now and give the doctor a break. She didn't need him dropping dead while trying to save Atticus' life.
