His father would rebuke him when he was younger but it seemed to have made him want to not tie it in the proper samurai manner even more. He always wore a neutral expression most of the time except when he was going into battle or when his eyes had started to long for and covet something. He has a sullenness in his eyes that betrayed how uninterested and bored he generally was at everything else. It makes me lust for glories of battle and I can no longer wait to fight my foes for hours and days on end." - Taeko Armor: Takeo's armor is similar to other members of his family’s army. He wears a recognizable shinny black armor with gold linings, red hoate (mask) - his resembles a frightening and mischievous demon, and a red silk sash wrapped around his waist. Because of this distinct look he and the rest of his army are known as the Black Demons of Kujin. On their back they wear a white textured cloth that has the Asagao clan's insignia on it. Whenever Takeo donned his armor his demeanor would change. It was like he became the red demon his masked portrayed. Naruhito was an Asagao clan Daimyō who opposed Shogunate Mitsuhide until he retired when he was forty years old. Takeo like most samurais, started training in his childhood. This involved learning about Kendo ("the way of the sword"), Bushido ("the way of the warrior"), physical training, poetry, and spiritual discipline. At the age of fourteen Takeo led his first campaign, helping his father as they fought the Lotus clan. When he was sixteen he went on a legendary night-time attack on the Lotus Castle to make a successful hostage rescue of another Asagao Daimyō and his family. After the successful rescue he led his men as they laid siege to the Castle for a year until they had to withdraw as the tide of war was turning against their clan. At the age of 19, Takeo succeeded his father, who chose to retire from his position as daimyō has he started to feel ill. Apparently, it was determined much later that his father was poisoned. Before he passed away Naruhito gave Takeo the family heirlooms, the Muteki Ring and the Yameru Amulet. The Muteki Ring was gained from Akimasa, the legendary samurai six generations ago. Takeo’s forbearer named Bunti had sacrificed himself and most of the lives of the men under his command so that Akimasa could win a war against a thousand year evil demon. Akimasa grateful for what Bunti did that he gave the ring to his then pregnant widow. Then the story of the Yameru Amulet goes even further before the days of the Muteki Ring. When men first started to enchant items, a group of demons call the Yameru wanted to stop humans from doing this. They created hundreds of amulets that could render magical items powerless. The human clans at the time worked together and were able to defeat the Yameru and they destroyed all but one of the amulets. The only amulet that survived came into the possession of one Taeko’s ancestors. With these two enchanted items Takeo became fearless to the point of fault. He once foolishly led ten of his men to battle a contingent of about one hundred Lotus warriors. While they were able to rout the enemy none of his men survived. He would later earn the nickname Oni no Akizawa (Demon Akizawa) because of the fearless tactics he displays in all of his operations. By then the tide of war had turned against the Asagao in favor of the Lotus clan and her allies. During the Battle at Kanaki, a number of Daimyōs of the Asagao clan decided to seek peace with the Lotus before the battle. Takeo was fighting with Daimyo Hantei of Asagao and Daimyo Echigoya of Tsubaki on the battlefield and because they did not have the support of the rest of the Asagao clan they lost decisively. Right after the war with Lotus, Takeo and what remained of the Black Demons sought to murder, intimidate, and weaken every Asagao Daimyō who he felt betrayed them. This was how Takeo established his reputation as one of the most feared Daimyōs in Kujin.
