[center]It's 2265, and it has been 10 years since humanity began its crusade on the only alien lifeforms it has encountered. Seemingly being human instinct, the foreign ship, peacefully sailing by Earth without a second glance, was shot down by Inter Planetary Ballistic Missiles (IPBMs for short), spraying cosmo flotsam down on the Pacific Ocean. Scientists and Xenophiles across the planet banded together to determine who this invader was, soon named the [url=https://i.pinimg.com/236x/9a/06/05/9a0605d5874b4693c3af21845e89406c.jpg]Stellons[/url]. Astrophysicists tracked their direction and velocity back to a star system hundreds of millions of kilometres away, now titled 'Django-1'. Mankind pulled together it's resources and launched the [i]Alrekur[/i], a Capital ship carrying 6,000 troops, squadrons of fighters, and some intensely heavy weaponry designed for defence. Meaning the best defence is a good offence.[/center] 

[center]At home, millions of miles away, live feeds from the helmet cameras are streamed on to televisions, cruelly named 'Primetime Wartime' where families on their couches can watch war with a bucket of popcorn for only $99 a year. A bargain. And from their armchair they can watch soldiers get gutted by the Stellons, or trip and fall on a landmine, often accompanied by the shrill laughter of a safe family indescribably far away. Judging and analysing like a football game, they'll meet up at work and discuss where the Sergeant went wrong on the last patrol or why Davidson is unworthy of leadership for not charging the bunker. All the while the soldiers on the front line have their minds unravelled as they go insane, trying to not come off as a coward while preserving their lives. There is no middle ground on war, and the spectators are ensuring that it's entertaining.[/center]

[center][h2][color=darkmagenta]Summary[/color][/h2]
Basically, we will play as a group of soldiers in a galaxy far, far away fighting these interstellar beings. In the meantime, the governments have sanctioned the sale of licenses to broadcast the live feeds of these soldiers to homes around the planet, uncensored. This has resulted in a violent and distant Big Brother with the 'contestants' unravelling day by day.[/center]

1. Don't be an asshole. Play nice, give and take. I won't insult your intelligence by explaining every part of this.
2. Don't godmode. Expect your character to die. I'll kill off characters every now and again because this is a war, and I want us to feel just a little sad that a character we got so used to is now gone.
3. I'm always happy to help so please PM me or put it in the thread. I'd rather you air your grievances than lose a valuable writer in our story. 
4. SHITPOST! I've noticed that for all the stories on this site, 90% are still so active because they have a really busy OOC. You don't have to talk all the time, but asking how someones day was, posting a meme, it's great for the longevity of the story and means we all wanna keep in contact, through the IC and OOC.
5. Collaborations are some of the best posts that can be made in a story like this. Conversation and details flow much better, and it helps to connect one character more to another. I seriously recommend collaboration as it is fun and easy. [url]https://edupad.ch/[/url] seems to be a decent alternative to TitanPad now that that's shutdown.[/center]

I hate long character sheets and feel like they are extremely useless. Why restrict your character to how you were feeling on one specific day? Humans are varied and so your characters should be too.
