Hadrianus Nightsbane

“We will need to fix this problem tomorrow, once you have rested.” Adrian said, pacing the hall as the minutes ticked down to the full moon rose to its usual place in the night sky. His hand had come up slowly to brush the raven locks of hair away from his eyes and then came to rest on his chin in a thoughtful looking manner. Hava was only a few feet away from where he walked back and forth, on the other side of her cage door. She was curled up in a corner of her large cell, with her head resting on her knees. Her eyes stared off into the distance, and if you looked hard enough you could see the green of her irises slowly giving way to her dark pupils. The blank look on her face also made it seem as if she also was giving way to the darkness that lurked inside of her. “Can you even hear me anymore?” Adrian asked. Hava’s eyes flickered up to him for a second, with the same look still stuck on her face. She nodded briefly and let out a deep, tired sigh before finally addressing what he’d said. “We are...in agreement.” To a human her voice would have sounded weak and soft, but to anyone else’s ears it would be easy to pick up on the beastly tone that echoed in her words when she spoke. “We..shall deal with the wolves..tomorrow.” Hava’s fists balled up as she tried to get the words out and her body began to tremble all over. “I..I think you should leave now, H-hadrianus. It’s happening.” The last words came out in almost a growl, making Adrian’s eyes finally settle on his friend. “Oh yes, it does look to be that time.” He said, stopping in front of her cage momentarily. Her holding kennel was massive, almost double the size of what the students cell was. It also was reinforced even more so than the other kennels. “Sir..” Came a polite voice a moment later. Adrian’s head turned in time to see Professor Comier step into the room with his hands clasped behind his back. “All the wolves are in their proper cells. We are ready for the west wing lockdown.” Adrian nodded and waved his hand towards the door Asa had just come in from. That was all the other vampire needed before he disappeared back into the west hall to initiate the locking of all the cells. Within seconds each door to each cell simultaneously shut at once with a loud Boom! Hava’s door was already closed, but it was easy to hear the clicking sound the door made as it locked. “Have no fear, Hava. I will keep all well.” Adrian whispered to his werewolf counterpart as her change began to fully kick in. The sound of bone cracking and skin tearing filled the air. Most others would have screamed in agony from the pain the transformation caused, but Hava was different. She had felt more transformations than she could even remember. Of course in the first few centuries of her life you could hear her screams for miles during the turn. Now the pain was something she was used to, had accepted, and was simply just a part of her now. Her human skin slowly began to peel off her body and was replaced by silky looking, pitch black fur. Her arms and legs grew and extended, long nails scratching against the ground and leaving deep trails in the concrete beneath her feet. That was the last thing Adrian saw before he walked out of the room to speak with the others standing watch. “Everyone is locked and secure.” He quickly made his way into the main west wing hall where Asa, Jadis, and Anna all stood. The three vampires turned to their maker and smiled as he approached. “All students and wolf teachers are locked and secure.” Asa said. “Vampire groundskeepers and night time guards are currently standing watch over the students, I will be joining them shortly.” This time is was Anna who spoke up. “Jadis and Asa were about to go watch over Eric, Elijah, and Saraphina.” “Very good.” Adrian replied, looking back over his shoulder towards the room Hava was locked in. Her howls echoed in his ears and he could already her ramming herself against the cage bars. “She will have such burns tomorrow.” He thought to himself sadly. “Well prepare for a long and loud night. As always, I will watch ov-“ Adrian stopped speaking mind sentence, his words cut short when a buzzer type sound blasted through the castle. A sound that was only ever supposed to be heard when lockdown was over. The next sound was very faint, but could easily be heard by vampire ears, it was the sound of multiple locks clicking open all at once. Adrian’s blue eyes grew wide and his head snapped back towards the others. “Who is guarding the lockdown panel room?!” “Caseus and Riley, they are always guarding that area. ” Anna’s usually calm voice had risen to one of fear. Screams and roars sounded only a moment later from the cell area, signifying something Adrian never had thought would happen. The wolves were loose. “Jadis, Anna.” Adrian said, his face full of panic for the first time in centuries. “Eric, Sara, and Elijah must be caught first. They will cause more destruction than the students could ever dream of. Go, go now!” The two were gone within a blink of an eye, leaving only Asa. “Asa sound the alarm. The vampire students are at risk and must be warned.” The vampire moved to do as he was told, but stopped when he felt the floor beneath him began to vibrate. Adrian’s eyes closed in dread as he felt it to, knowing very well what would cause the ground to shake. “Asa…go sound the alarm now.” Adrian’s voice was cool and calm as he turned around, locking eyes with the large black wolf staring him down at the other end of the hall. She was twice the size of most werewolves and would have caused a shiver to run down the back of even the strongest of men. Her head was down low and her large teeth were bared, making them extremely prominent against the blackness of her fur. “But Adrian.” Asa said. “Go!” The sound of the loud command was all it took to set Hava off. She took off in Adrian’s direction, causing everything on the walls to shake and fall to the ground. Adrian didn’t move from his place even as she grew closer, his face with almost a patient expression resting upon it. He’d fought her in the past and had even dealt with her during a full moon such as this. That, of course, didn’t make the fight that was about to happen any easier. She was the one opponent in the world that would ever be a challenge for him, just like he was to her. OOC: Have fun everyone and let me know if you have any questions.
