The rise and fall of the dispute unfolded in front of Laura and she felt helpless to do anything about it. Then, just like that, it was over. Kacey and Des went their separate ways and the tension in the air began to fade. This argument had obviously drawn the attention of everyone in the gang. With a frustrated sigh she watched Kacey leave and knew it was likely best to give her some time to cool off. Des had his sister and the attention of a few others, she doubted her presence was needed there either. At a loss for what to do, and frustrated with her inability to help, she decided to return to her area of the camp. After putting her rifle away she sat and watched the various members. Kacey had gone off to who knows where, Maverick had said he'd be up at the ridge, and everyone else was scattered around camp taking part in various conversations. Not wanting to spend her time sitting on her butt she decided to saddle up and take a brief ride around. Keep an eye out for Kacey along her way. Having ridden for some time around the edges of what could be considered their territory she was now making her way up the ridge and could see Maverick up ahead. "Hey" she called out to him. "Have you seen Kacey?" She asked as she drew closer. By this point she had some time to breathe from the ordeal and was feeling much more calm about everything, but was still worried about her sister and the strength of the group as a whole.
