She smiled at those she knew as they left, before she ascended the stairs and went to apartment 301, unlocking the door and slipping inside. Spot barked at her as she walked in and ran over, jumping up on her legs. "Oh sweet boy, I know I was out far too long..." Nora said sympathetically. The poor thing had been cooped up in her rooms all day and it showed. Spot apparently had enjoyed having free reign, having chewed and scratched at various pieces of furniture. Had Spot not been alone all day, perhaps Nora would have been cross with him. Instead, she just gave him affectionate pets. Spot followed her back to her bedroom as she changed into something more comfortable for sleeping. Her blanket had more or less became Spot's blanket, as she often found the heat of Egypt made it unnecessary for a comfortable sleep. Nora sat down on the bed and patted the spot next to her, with her dog happily jumping up and sitting there. Nora couldn't help but smile at him. "I like you better than most people, Spot," Nora whispered to him. She had a better relationship with her dog than she did with most of her family. Spot barked at her in response and Nora couldn't help but smile.
