“Thanks, but don’t sell yourself short. I really enjoyed your song. I could tell you were nervous, but you’ve got a good voice. If you enjoyed it, you should start singing more.” Marcus was quick to open up in conversation when the topic was music. It was his passion, his reason to live, and he could talk about it for hours. Marcus chuckled as his attention was drawn away for a moment by another woman, calling out, "Hope y'all are having a good night!" He recognised her as one of the regular bartenders here, obviously having a night off to party. She got up to sing earlier too, so he made a mental note to go over later and tell her she did a good job. Marcus raised a brow and chuckled again as he saw her and the owner of the Club start to kiss. Well, that could be interesting. Co-workers hooking up was often a recipe for disaster. Marcus turned back to Reya and raised his glass towards her with a sweet smile. “Cheers.” He said, giving her the opportunity to clink her glass against his, before taking a long first sip. “So, uh, other than Twenty One Pilots, what bands do you listen to?” Marcus asked, doing a pretty good job at hiding his nerves so far. Talking about music definitely helped with that. It was hard to be uncomfortable when talking about his favourite thing.
