Her skin, neither pale nor tan, maintains a fair tone throughout the year, despite her love of the outdoors and nature. Her stature doesn’t stand out too much, standing at exactly five foot tall, weighing 110 pounds, and having a rather simple wardrobe, she’d be easy to miss, if not for her pet squirrel, named Fluffs, that is usually perched on her head, or running from arm to arm. Her fashion statement, while not much of a statement, consists of a plain cotton short sleeved shirt, usually of a dark color like green, and plain leather pants and boots. The one unique part of her fashion, would be the fox cloak she wears. Her voice, though sweet and melodic, is rather quite, do to her being a shy person that isn’t used to speaking around others. Strengths - Reserved- Cassia isn’t one to talk much, but she’s a great listener, and because she doesn’t like to talk, there’s at least a ninety percent chance she’ll keep any secrets given, unless of course said secret involves someone else, and she thinks it’s important for them to know. Kind/Caring- Cassia loves other people, despite being uncomfortable around them, and animals. She tends to be a little too nice to both, to the point where she would willingly give a robber all the money she possessed if asked nicely. (Don’t let her carry the valuable stuff, especially around any smooth talking thieves.) Tough- While uncomfortable around people, and far too kind, her kindness has another side. If someone she loves, or an innocent helpless animal is threatened, she becomes very firm, and some even say scary(it’s the sudden transition from rainbows and unicorns to hellfire that does it). Because of this, people know she can be counted on in a situation. Flaws - Curious- You know the saying ‘curiosity killed the cat’, well, in regards to Cassia, it’s ‘curiosity got Cassia lost again.’ She often gets distracted, by anything that shines or seems out of place. She once almost followed a butterfly off a cliff. A fairy saw this, and wanted to see if she would do it again: she did, and actually fell. Luckily, it was a small cliff, and she was fine aside from a few bruises. Compulsive- Cassia doesn’t think much before acting, which is how she ends up following shiny fairies off cliffs. This can be a hassle to some, especially if they are trying to keep her from doing something stupid, like walking off a cliff. On the other hand, while mostly seen as a negative trait, in a situation where overthinking can be bad, Cassia never has such a problem, even if her instinctive choice isn’t always the best, it can be better than no choice. Naive/Shy- This is the downside to Cassia’s nicety, she looks to see the good in others, so if someone has a good backstory, and can keep the facial expression to back it up, she’d believe anything they told her, even if everyone else told her they were obviously lying. Neutral - Nature- Cassia loves nature, and can identify most plants and (non-monster)animals. Because she loves nature, she loves being surrounded by it, and would gladly choose to sleep under the stars over having a fancy hotel room any day, unless of course it was pouring rain, then she would prefer a cave or tent. Animals- A side effect of loving nature, Cassia loves caring for animals, and feeding them. Skills: Knowledge- Cassia might not be the sharpest knife in the set, but she does have her moments. Specifically, her knowledge is when it comes to the outdoors. She knows the best places to set up camp, how to safely build a fire, and whether or not that plant will kill you….though, the last one is more because she has had to have immediate medical care for eating said plant before. Musical Talent- Cassia has spent many nights out in the woods practicing with her harp, and as a result, she has become quite good at playing it, for either entertainment or magic. Focal Crystal: Cassia’s focal crystal shines a bright green, and is inlaid into her harp. Special Equipment: Magnolia's Dreams- The gentle sound of a harp is said to calm those who hear it into a peaceful slumber, and so this harp got its name. Ability: Floral Melody- Playing this harp near a garden, or any plant life, will help the plants to grow healthier than they would have otherwise. The effects, while not very extraordinary, can be useful even in battle if applied around certain plants. This effect only happens if she plays a specific melody. Equipment: Fluffs- Fluffs is Cassia’s pet squirrel. She found him injured one day in the forest, brought him home and nursed him back to health, and he hasn’t left her side since. He is often seen perched either on one of her shoulders, or on her head. Fluffs favorite food, despite popular belief, is blueberries, though he does eat his fair share of nuts. Fox skin Cloak- The cloak she’s seen wearing so often is from a real fox. Yes, I know, it’s shocking that the nature loving girl is wearing the skin of a fox, but with it comes a story: Her father was a hunter, he gave her it as a birthday present, and then he went out hunting again, when his hunting party returned he was not with them. Thus, she has kept the cloak with her. Weapon: Alongside her harp, Cassia carries with her a standard hunting knife, while nothing too special, it is sharp enough for a variety of tasks. The blade, with the rest of the knife being completely average, is stained a variety of colors from picking berries with it. Special Attack: Non applicable, due to status as a humans-person Magic Lv: 5 Spellbook: Well aged, brown paper, wrapped in faded and dirt covered leather, with loose, newer white pages strewn about. It would be a bit of a stretch for most to refer to this as a book, though looking at the elegant designs of the cover, one can decipher that it is indeed a book. Cassia collected and sold berries to acquire this book from a traveling merchant, where others told her she should have gotten one in better condition, she liked it's simple appearance.

School of Focus: Song Resonant Wave - A short tune, that sends a wave of damaging sound in whatever direction the caster is currently facing. The blast, while not the most damaging, is low on energy consumption, and a good fall-back in an emergency. Effectivity depends on range, having the maximum effect at a midrange(approximately 3 feet from casting point), being closer or further, diminishing the effects greatly. Radiant Melody - A tune that calms the minds of those that hear it. While it doesn't sound very useful, it can be used to counter effects of dark magics that effect the mind. The closer to the caster, the more effective. Effectiveness is also obviously effected by the level of dark magic. Harmonic Essence - They say that magic is all around us, connecting everything, so too is it with sound. This spell is used to summon the essence of the caster's harmony, and is one of the first spells any user in the School of song must learn. The first time casting, the spell shows the user which instrument they can achieve the best effects from, every song caster is different. Casting of the spell while using their chosen instrument casts an aura around them up to 3 feet in diameter, allowing them to harmonize with their allies, and share energy with them. Effectivity is iffy at best, on weaker willed creatures it can work as intended, on creatures with 'medium' willpower it can simply cause slight confusion, and creatures with high willpower remain unaffected. Hypnotic Lull - A tune that focuses on a single target, guiding it into a slumber. While an effective spell for sneaking, the target will begin to wake as soon as the music stops. While less effective against stronger creatures, it will make them seem drowsy and slow, even if it doesn't put them to sleep. No effect on creatures that don't/can't sleep, for obvious reasons. Misc Battle Info: Fluffs is known on occasion to hurl acorns, or berries, at monsters, usually to no effect, sometimes to the effect of angering them. "Daddy!" When she reached the door, she hugged the leg of a large man with a scruffy beard. "How was your trip?" The man that was her father looked disheartened at the question. "It's not over yet, but I brought you a present for your birthday." He reached into his coat, and pulled out a small brown package, held together by two pieces of twine, and handed it to her. Taking it, the little girl started to take it over to the table, her birthday not being for another two days, when he stopped her and forced a smile. "Open it now, I want to see your reaction." She did as asked, and first untied the twine, unfolding the paper to reveal a beautiful fox-skin cloak. She pulled it out of the box, and held it up to look at it better, it was a few sizes too big, so she looked at him in confusion. "I know it's big, but you'll grow into it, someday." He said, still retaining his forced smile. She looked from him, to the cloak, and back to him with a big smile on her face. "Thank you daddy!" His forced smile faded and he walked back to the door, and for the first time he didn't tell her how long it would take, or even that he would return. Being a child, she didn't think anything of it, and simply continued on with her normal routine.

The small blonde child was running about the kitchen, standing on a stool stretching to reach pot's and pans hanging out of her reach. She was preparing her father's favorite dish, or at least was going to attempt to do so. His hunting trips never lasted more than a week, and he would surely be home today. A knock from the door. The first thought the small girl had was that it was her father, the next thought was asking why he was knocking. Still, she went to the door and opened it, surprised to see one of her father's 'drinking buddies' at the door. He looked up at the roof, gazing to the smoke from the chimney, then back down to the child. "Did your father change his mind?" he sounded as confused as he looked. "He's still out hunting sir, but he should be back today or tomorrow, I've got food cooking if you want to wait for him." as she was saying this, a thick black smoke rose from the kitchen area and floated out the door past them, the older man, sniffing the air. He would have declined the offer, except for feeling guilty for the girl. "Sure...but I think you need to know something." They walked in the house, and he sat at the table, as she grabbed some bowls and brought them over, before grabbing the soup that was emitting the black smoke from the fire and bringing it over. She dished them both an equal helping, leaving enough in the pan for the other person she was expecting. The elder man looked down at the dish, questioning silently how she mad managed to burn a soup, taking a bite only to avoid hurting her feelings. After choking down the food, he looked at her somberly, and gave her the news. "Your...um...your father, isn't coming back." She returned his somber look with tears rolling down her face. "What do you mean he isn't coming back?! He always comes back! You're lying, get out!" She practically pushed him out the door, before returning to the table to await her dads return. An hour later, the door opened, and she looked over excitedly, the look quickly diminishing. It was the same man as earlier. "He's coming back!" she yelled at him, not waiting for him to say anything. "Yes of course, you're right, but until then, you shouldn't be alone." And so, for the next week, this man stayed with her, slowly trying to convince her of the truth.

It had been two weeks since the once strange man known only as 'daddys drinking buddy' had convinced her that her father wasn't returning. It was early in the day, and he had told her that this arrangement couldn't last forever, that he wasn't fit to be a parent, and so she was in her room packing all the vital stuff. Namely, her cloak which while too big, she put on immediately. When she came out of her room, she took one last look around the cabin that had been her home her whole life, and started to cry. She still didn't want to accept that her father wasn't coming back, and she wanted to be here when he did, but she knew it wasn't possible. Hendrick, the man who had been caring for her, had told her he knew of a place nearby where she could go to live, somewhere she would have brothers and sisters and a big family who would love her. Today, he was to take her there. It was in the same town she already lived in, so it was close enough that if her dad did return it wouldn't be long before she learned of it. ----- When they arrived, Hendrick went into a room with a lady named Gertrude, where they could talk in private. He revealed something to her, that he withheld from Cassia, the reason her father left was because he discovered she was not really his child and that his wife, who had died giving birth to Cassia, had been cheating on him. Nobody would have known this, but Hendrick held his alcohol far better than Cassia's father, and remembered his drunken planning. When the door reopened, Hendrick said goodbye, and Cassia was welcomed with open arms. For the next year, she returned to the cabin every day to check if her father returned, though she stopped one day after finding a letter from Hendrick nailed to the door, she has never revealed to anyone the contents of said letter.
