Here's a non-participant to play around with.
Name: Faye Marie Nisval / Whistleblower Race: Fox Beastkin Magic/Abilities: Master Level Aeromancy Faye has become a dangerous aeromancer over years of practice. Don't let her appearance fool you, the graduate of Seraph Academy knows her way around Aeromancy and can launch you to fifty feet in the air in a matter of a few seconds. She weaves potent spells with normal spells to create a devastating trap for others to fall into. She can also use this for flight and self-enchancement for faster movement and reaction. She often uses her fans as she uses aeromancy. Healing Magic Though Faye isn't quite as well-versed as the master healers, it was enough for emergency treatment just in case she or someone else had amputated their limb and needed to stop the blood from flowing out. Faye does tend to look into more efficient healing methods just in case. Rune Magic: Faye doesn't use this as often when it comes to fights since it takes time to prepare and it's difficult to make any heavy-damaging runes when you're being attacked constantly. However, this does become useful when she needs to fortify a place or to eavesdrop on others by planting runes onto certain places which she can tap into and listen to. It can also be used as a communication device. Minor Telekenesis Usually used out of sheer laziness around her house. It doesn't have much use in offense, however, so it isn't very practical in a fighting sense. It just helps her with everyday life which she greatly appreciates. Personality: A first glance at Faye is what you would expect out of a graduate of Seraph Academy - knowledgeable about magic and its inner workings with a passion for learning. When she's on the job, she's calm and collected most of the time. She keeps a clear head just in case there were some illusions being cast. She keeps herself alert and on-guard and you would think that this was the ideal person for the workforce. And quite honestly, she does pride herself for it. During her time off, however, she's a rambanctious lass whose presence you can start to enjoy. She's chatty, but kind and helpful as well. Faye was a free-spirited woman who didn't want to do anything she didn't want to do. She moved at her own pace and doesn't let anything tug her along if it didn't interest her. Background: An orphan left at the doorstep of Radiant Cathedral, the future was unknown for the baby beastkin. Feeling sorry for the child, the priests and ministers decided to take care of her. Faye had always exhibited excellence in terms of magic ever since she was young. She first learned about magic through the tutors there at Radiant Cathedral and then she was sent off to Seraph Academy a long time ago to hone her magical talent. They praised her for her quick learning of aeromancy. However, it was noticeable that she moved in her own pace. She didn't care when they told her she could try more advanced spells. She wanted to do it when she wanted to do it. That's just how it is, much to the frustration of her tutors and some other professors. Faye had participated regularly in the Tournament - often because the people of the Radiant Cathedral told her to and she had no choice. The first few years were alright for her, but it didn't yield any special results. Once she stepped onto her last year and her last tournament, however, she reached the finals. She accepted her defeat without any question because she knew that he was better than her. And she didn't much care. Half of the money that was given to her as some form of second place prize was offered to the Radiant Cathedral. When she finished, she spent a few months in Radiant Cathedral - teaching others who wanted to learn about air magic. However, when she felt like she was getting bored, she took the rest of her savings and then left Zauberheim. There was no tearful goodbyes since everyone believed that she simply disappeared to go into isolation to meditate. But nothing could be farther from the truth. She went on to become a private investigator by the codename of Whistleblower. She delves into danger to find out mysterious things and exposing corrupt merchants. Sometimes, she just becomes your run on the mill bodyguard with a mask over her face. Years later, Faye was invited back to Zauberheim. Somehow, somebody found her. The Tournament was rolling around so she thought why not. Time to see what the youth had in store right? When someone looks for how long Faye had actually been gone, it is unclear in records. There have been speculations that she was over fifty years old, but some say early thirties. She has neither confirmed nor denied any claims as of now.
Faye let out a sigh as she leaned back on the chair. She stared at the letter before her. There, in cursive writing, was her full name along with her codename on the very top. Following it was a detailed report of what happened in Zauberheim during the time she was not there, which was for years. The parchment was horribly long and Faye couldn't believe that someone took the time out of their normal lives to write something this long. Most of it was just rambling about what was wrong about the happenings and wasn't of much interest. At the very end, however, was an invitation back. "... We would like for you to come back to Zauberheim. The Tournament is coming and the interesting ruling of outsiders being allowed has shaken the roots, along with rumors of a young talented boy being part of it. We look forward to your participation." Faye frowned. "I told them that I'll never participate in that tournament again." She muttered to herself as she threw the scroll to the side. A flick of her finger and the parchment rolled back and and placed itself on the table and she nodded - content with what had happened. Telekenesis wasn't exactly her best suite and she had only started a few months back so this success made her happy, but her mind was still disturbed. "Is something the matter, m'lady?" Her loyal butler, Roy, questioned as he approached with a tray of tea on his hand. "You seem... agitated." "Someone wants me back at Zauberheim." The Beastkin replied, curling her hands together. Her lips formed a thin line. She had nothing against the capital of Razelia, but the place had been restricting. Who knows how her next visit there would go, so she never went back. "Will you go back then?" He poured the tea into the cup. Her lips curled into a smile as she took the cup. "Of course." She said with a light giggle. "Maybe someone has a job for me there." "And the tournament?" Her smile disappeared. "I'll watch. We'll see what happens."
