Ever since she was about four years old, she has been creating artwork and little fables that not only entertained her family and kept their spirits uplifted while they were going through times of crisis, but also helped her earn good marks on most of her work throughout school. Though being very kind and warm to anyone who decided to strike up a conversation with her, Vivian was often teased and bullied throughout most of her school years over simple things such as the clothing she wore on her back or how she gifted homemade cards and drawings to her "friends" for Christmas instead of the material items they desired. This obviously took a toll on the young girl; as time went on, her self-esteem and confidence dropped significantly, and she began to spend more and more of her time alone. Even though she is now a grown woman, she still tends to be a bit more reserved and quiet than her peers. She has also grown to be slightly reliant and dependent on her fiancee.
• Hobbies & Interests:
» Drawing | Painting » Reading Comic Books » Braiding or Styling Hair
• Likes & Dislikes:
» Superheroes (Black Panther, especially) » Art, whether it be graffiti or paintings in a museum. Patrick had also been hired that night to play lead trumpet with the rest of his jazz band. One thing led to another, and after just three months of dating, the couple exchanged vows, got married, and began popping out babies almost immediately. Vivian Patrice Booker was born six years after her older sister on a warm Summer's day, the third and final child of Valerie and Patrick. Growing up in the Booker household was hard for Vivian; because her father was struggling to find a good paying job or jazz band gig, the large family had to survive off of the paycheck that Valerie brought home every two weeks from her catering job. Because her family had limited funds to work with, Vivian often found herself recycling the same, hand-me-down clothing items and pairs of shoes, borrowing lunch or lunch money from friends and teachers, and even skipping a few showers a week because their water had been shut off. The kids in her class knew all about Vivian's struggles, and teased her about them every chance they got. There was even one point in her life when she'd gifted a handmade card to one of her classmates for Christmas as opposed to the "cool action figure" he'd written on his wish list, and had it torn up and thrown away right in front of her. From that point forward, Vivian decided to stay to herself for the most part; she only spoke when spoken to, kept her head buried in her sketchbooks and comics, and did the work necessary to pass. As soon as Vivian finished high school, she packed her things and moved states with the person she'd been dating since her first year of high school. This person was the only one in her elementary class who'd never poked fun at her or made her feel like she was unwanted or important. In fact, it was this person who'd lend her lunch or even money, and who'd given her her very first sketchbook when she told them that she wanted to pursue a career in art. They even pitched in a bit of dough to help out with her tuition. She graduated from Spelman University when she was twenty-one with a degree in Art. Since then, Vivian has secured a job as an art teacher at a local high school. She also works on creating comic books in her spare time. She and her current fiancee ended up taking a little break after Vivian graduated, but they eventually got back together when they were approaching their thirties. Now, they are engaged, and Vivian swears on her life that this person is her true soulmate.
