She had aims of being part of MI6, but sought a bigger field. In a world where superpowers lead the world in good vs. evil, she wanted to be on the front lines and fighting back to help the world. It's what her mother would have wanted, she knows it.

[b][color=FF8CBD]General History:[/color][/b] Saying Tinley lived a privileged life is an understatement. The Abercrombie family is a well-known one England wide (rumor has it Reginald is close friend with the Queen!). Tinley grew up with her older brother wanting for very little. At first, Tinley was fine with this. The best clothes, the best education, the best of everything. But life got a bit [i]too[/i] boring. She wanted excitement! She wanted adventure! She would see heroes on TV and wanted their life. Her father, needless to say, did not approve.

Her mother, however, did. But Georgina's life was shortened. Diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Tinley watched as her mother slowly succumbed to her disease. In all their time together, Georgina urged her daughter to pursue her dreams. Even when her mother would forget her name, she would always greet her with a smile and ask "Are you a hero yet?" So Tinley took this to heart, even after her mother passed, unable to care for herself. Her father warned her that if she wanted it, she would have to work for it herself. He would not support her. Tinley, wanting to go at it on her own anyway, was just fine with this.

So she worked hard. She studied hard in school, earning top marks in classes. She spent free time in self-defense classes. Her aim was MI6 and she was all set to go. Until life had other plans. The world was in a clash of good vs. evil. Heroes and villains constantly fought and she remembered her mother's words. She needed to be a hero. MI6 would have to wait. So when SHIELD put it out there they were interested in her, she jumped at the chance to join the side of good.

Since the events of Age of Ultron, Tinley has moved up the ranks and became the new team leader. Of course, it wasn't all bad. Having heard the losses they faced due to Ultron, it left a lump in her stomach knowing how close they were to losing it all.
