They were impressed with her skills with the bow as well as her athletics and winning a few silver medals. And they offered her a job at S.H.I.E.L.D. at first she wasn't sure about the job. But she always did want to do something for the greater good, and she thought it over the next day or so, and she ultimately decided that she wanted to join up with S.H.I.E.L.D. she applied for the Operations Academy. [b][color=lightgreen]General History:[/color][/b] ]Maria was born as the oldest in her family, her father owned a family farm outside of the town of Zelienople and her mother growing up on the farm from the age of seven when she was old enough she would take care of the farm animals, they owned four cows, five horses, ten sheep and about thirty chickens. Maria actually enjoyed working side by side with her father, when Maria was around the age of thirteen her father decided to take her out on their first hunting trip. He had bought her a bow her first kill was a white tailed deer, but when Maria was fifteen years old her mother and father started arguing constantly until eventually they filed for divorce. During that time Maria decided to take up learning and taking up archery as a way to keep her mind off of things. And she eventually decided that she wanted to make it a profession when she got older. She also competed in a few athletic competitions as well, at first they were local then she started to go national as well. Maria had a choice to either live with her father or her mother, but she chose to stay with her father since they were closer and Maria was old enough to choose which parent she wanted to live with. Maria was still close and saw her mother and sisters quiet often, when high school came around Maria did very well always getting A's and B's and the occasional C here and there. Maria eventually graduated from high school, she took up sports competing in both archery competitions as well as triathlons. In 2016 Maria decided to go and apply for the Olympics and qualified to join the Rio Games. Maria won 3 silver metals in archery and 2 silvers in the triathlon as well, after that Maria went back home and started to practice for the next competition. That's when she was approached by S.H.I.E.L.D. During her time in the SHIELD Academy she eventually met her now current girlfriend Dominika Novikova, she was a candidate for the Phase Three Program as well with the other agents on the team. She ended up having some training with Hawkeye which was really good for her. Eventually going on their first mission to Latvaria when two of their own were sucked into the Quantum Realm and the HYDRA uprising began as well. Though Maria didn't know that Novikova had a plan to get them out of there, she did approach her to help which Maria did. But they were caught and were in trouble with the team, but eventually they went to go and help and the team went to Pym Technologies. Where Ultron pulled them all out, but eventually turned and killed her girlfriend Novikova. She took her death the hardest, and vowed to kill Ultron but it didn't happen, eventually when the assault on Ultron's main operation she was killed. With the Age of Ultron averted Maria chose to remain on the team even though Novikova was fired due to her actions, they are still together regardless what happened.
