But if that rule was followed no one would say a damn thing."

Human | Female |18 |Ex-Stormtrooper

A P P E A R A N C E
Merrin is a young women, seemingly still a girl, with dull maroon colored eyes and short ear length black hair left unkempt and messy. She stands 5,8 with fair skin and a lithe athletic build that has degraded somewhat, suggesting it came from intense physical training at one point in the past. Her hands are calloused and a series of sharp, jagged scars follow the length of her jaw, extending over her cheeks and partially down her neck. She is currently dressed in a black shortsleeves shirt, with dusty brown pants littered with pockets, thick brown boots with blades hidden in them, fingerless gloves, and a plastoid shoulder pauldron (modified her from old stormtrooper armor) worn across her left shoulder, and held in place with a strap
P E R S O N A L I T Y
On the surface Merrin appears to be a girl embittered and disappointed by both her life and the universe at large. Her youthful days of hoping for a better life appear to have degraded into a more selfish mindset where she holds little trust in anything or anyone around her. She feels that as long as she assumes the absolute worst then she'll never be disappointed and never, ever suffer the hurt of getting her hopes up. Yet despite having a sarcastic streak and wearing her doubts on her sleeves, Merrin shows very little tolerance towards pessimistic individuals. Though seemingly hypocritical at first, Merrin is always willing to try even though she often feels that it won't end well. As a result she holds a great deal of anger and frustration with people who put down others or seemingly give up before they try. Part of his anger comes from difficulties she had with such people in the past and another part has to do with her own attitude and issues believing.
S K I L L S
Imperial Academy Training: Trained at the academy on Lothal starting when she was 16, Merrin gained a wide variety of knowledge and skills including blaster training, heavy weapons training, walker operation instruction, and ultimately a strong understanding of the mentality and operation of the Empire. Stormtrooper Experience: Though Merrin's actual time serving as a 'loyal' Stormtrooper in the ranks of the Empire was fairly limited, she did fight in real battles gaining first hand experience of proper combat and how to survive and win in desperation situations where retreat meant death. Squalid Lothal Upbringing: Merrin grew up on Lothal in foul poverty. In order to survive she had to learn the various trappings and cons of local criminals, as well as practice some criminal acts herself. Thanks to this she's quick to spot when someone is trying to rip her off, is a decent pickpocket, and has a willingness to tinker and make use of whatever she can find believing nothing is actually trash. Unrecognized Force Sensativity: Merrin has a surprising degree of force sensitivity that until now has gone largely under the radar. Merrin herself isn't entirely aware of her potential, but has enough of an inkling that she's done her very best to remain ignorant of what she's capable of.
E Q U I P M E N T
-Folding Vibroblade: Worn in a crude leather sheath on her left shoulder is a knife sized vibroblade that can unfold into a longer machete-style. Vibroblades oscillate at high frequencies to enhance their cutting abilities, allowing them to cleave through armor and cut into reinforced materials. -Customized E-11 blaster rifle: The standard blaster rifle of the Stormtroopers. Merrin kept hers and has since modified it, shortening the barrel assembly to make it easier to conceal and adding a folding stock. -Blaster Rifle Plasma Charge Packs x2: Two additional charge packs for her rifle. These plasma packs over 500 shots over the usual 100 the standard packs over. -Plastoid Armor Plates: Merrin wears cut down pieces of her old stormtrooper armor underneath her clothes across her chest back, and thighs.Though the protection they offer is minor, something is better then nothing when it comes to life or death. Shortly after her birth Lothal began to suffer economically, made only worst by the reverberating effects of the Clone War. By the time the clone war had ended Lothal was left in a vast state of economic disrepair. Merrin's mother lost her job and her father began to fail to turn a profit on anything he did. They were forced to move in a smaller, cheaper house. Her mother began to spend more time at home while her father began to take what he called 'odd-jobs' in order to keep them all fed. It wasn't long before the Empire was formed and people on Lothal were clamoring to be taken into the fold. At the time Merrin didn't understood what that meant, only that a lot of people believed it would make things better. During the intermediate period before the Empire set foot on Lothal, Merrin's father was killed, apparently during criminal work he had been doing to support his family. With no money Merrin and her mother wound up on the streets. Years of working in the mines under less then protected conditions caught up with Merrin's mother, who became sick and eventually passed away. Dying in an alley where the two regularly slept. Merrin was left alone and forced to survive her own. When the Empire finally did come things got harder for a while as troopers were constantly around and laws became more readily reinforced. Then Merrin saw an opportunity. For improvement. For escape.
