His skin, for one, is a grey so dark that one might mistake it for being black, with a good portion of his upper body marked with strange triangular symbols that tend to light up whenever he activates his quirk. His eyes are a silver-ish white coloration, as is his hair, with the sclera around them bearing a similar gray color as his skin but a few shades lighter. All in all, it makes him look rather ghostly and ethereal as if he's not fully of this world. His body is well-defined and built for someone his age, the sole thing he can thank the orphanage that he was raised in for due to the headmaster's strict tendency to use manual labor as punishment for behavior violations as well as his own interests in keeping a certain degree of fitness to better serve his role as some of the muscle whenever his gang decided to get into scuffles with other gangs. For his normal attire, he wears a ragged black tokko-fuku jacket with either a bandaged wrapped torso underneath or a regular t-shirt with the Kanji for 'dangerous' plastered on the front of it. His Tokko-fuku is decorated with a number of kanji-relating to death, death, and the underworld so as to better sell the gimmick he had while being a part of the gang. Aside from that, he wore some similarly dark-colored pants and black, studded combat boots. Personality Positives Clever: Shiryu's quirk is one that often requires some degree of intelligence to use effectively, especially when it comes to the fast-paced motorcycle fights that he and his crew sometimes found themselves in when facing the Bosozoku. Luckily, Shiryu is quite sharp for a street punk, constantly scanning both his environments and the people around him for ways that he can turn any situation to his advantage. Honest: A somewhat surprising trait for a young thug, but Shiryu is a surprisingly honest and straightforward person. That isn't to say that he isn't known to lie or be deceptive, as he can definitely do both very well, but that's mainly when it comes to gang stuff or when dealing with authority figures. When dealing with his fellow students, even if he can be terribly blunt and rude, it's pretty much what you see is what you get. Along with this straightforwardness is also the fact that if he makes a promise with someone, he will do his damnedest to keep it. His word is his bond, and come hell or highwater, nothing will get in the way of him trying to keep it. Negatives Antagonistic: For a boy who can't talk, Shiryu talks a lot of shit. No matter who you are, no matter what you are, if the punk sees a button he can press then he will feel compelled to press it. Even if it would be in his best interests not to, it's like he gets a kick out of pissing people off solely with his [written] words. That being said, he also isn't one to back down from a fight he's started, again no matter who he's up against. Bully/Low sense of Self-worth: A much more recent development for Shiryu is his tendency to bully and demean others. Different from his usual teasing, this is when Shiru deliberately tries to tear someone down, either physically or verbally in order to help him feel some sense of the self-worth that he's lost now that his gang has left him. Without his band of brothers, Shiryu honestly feels really small, insignificant, and alone, which drives him to lash out violently at those around him whenever the feeling props up in the back of his mind. Rebellious: If you're an authority figure and you try to tell Shiryu to do something, good luck. Ever since he was young, Shiryu has had nothing but contempt for any and all figures of society, considering them all to be either frauds, liars, or crooks of some description, especially those with the audacity to call themselves 'Heroes'. For the young thug, all heroes are just a bunch of hypocrites who only care for themselves and gaining as many brownie points with the general public as they can. Quirk Pole-tergeist Named more to keep with his ghost-based theme and his love of puns rather than any true ghostly pedigree, Shiryu's quirk is simple in execution, but deceptively versatile in the ways it can be used. In it's most basic form, this quirk allows him to place special markings on anything he touches with his palm or the back of his hand, imbuing them with a positive or negative charge. After the mark has been placed, Shiryu can activate it with a thought and connect it to another active mark, causing an interaction between them based on whether the charges are the same of different. If the charges are different, then the marked objects will pull towards each other, but if the charges are the same, then they'll push away from each other instead. On top of that base premise, however, Shiryu has figured out how to do a few neat things with his ability due to experimenting with his quirk. Firstly, he can build up a stronger charge inside his body before placing a mark or activating one of the marks on his hands, causing it to emit a stronger magnet effect on whatever mark it's connected to. So instead of two objects interacting equally on each other, the stronger force overwhelms the opposing force first, and then the rest of the force is transferred over, meaning that he often needs to double the amount of energy if he wants to completely negate any blow back from his quirk, something that can pobviously be very draining. His other trick is that if he's wielding a metal object, he can use it as an extension of his body by pushing a constant charge through it. The charge allows him to place marks on others by making contact with the metal object, and the charge remains for about 30 seconds after leaving his hands, enabling him to throw these objects at others in order to mark them, thou the mark placed is usually weaker than his normal mark. Skills Shiryu's experience in his gang has given quite a knowledge of the city's layout, as well as a bit of mechanical know-how from working on the bikes the gang often used to get into mischief. He's also not half-bad as a driver, at least with motorcycles, and was known to be a bit of a dare-devil when it came to how much he bobbed and weaved through traffic. History Explain your character's life and the circumstances which led to them being offered a place within Sato-sensei's delinquent program. Ambitions Shiryu's only ambition in life was to do right by his brothers in arms and live life as fully as possible while spitting in the face of the so-called heroes of society, with all their pomp and circumstance. But now, with those he thought were his brothers having left him behind and weeks went by without even a token attempt at rescue, he can't really think of anything in life for him to truly strive for. Being part of that group had made him feel more than just another street rat or guttersnipe struggling to survive in a cruel world, made him feel as if he was a part of something bigger and grander than he was. But now that's all gone, and he's left wondering where exactly he wants to go with his future.
