Blank. Everything was blank. All pure white with no signs of difference as far as the eye can see. There was a boy there; wandering amidst the uniformity, almost lost. The lad in question didn't know where precisely he was in the spectrum of reality or how he got there per se. He believed himself to be in the space between realms, on his way to another realm perhaps-- what some call Limbo. In any case, the young man continued walking along an indefinitely long, grey bridge. It was really the only thing solid and discernible amidst all other things here. It felt to be hours that he followed this path. It was a test, he was told, from the Giver himself. He could not fail now. Not after all this time. His command was to follow the narrow paths only to reach his destination. It was designed for him to test his faith in his instructor's word and patience to attain his goals. Though, this was most certainly trying, even for Dejinkken. There was a period of doubt, of fear, that he managed to push himself through. Thoughts of his imperfections, his mortality; he had heard others murmur about it. Their disdain for him. His inability to understand what he was doing wrong. Why did they discreetly despise him? What could he do to make it right? The last question was what led him along this bridge of nowhere. Motivated him forward. Finally, it seemed, that he saw something in the distance, the end of this branch of the bridge. Deji squinted his eyes, unaware of what exactly he was seeing. It was a silver figure in the endless white of this space. All he knew was that he should continue on his path, he didn't have anything better to do after all. As he approached, he heard his name being called. Deji quickened his pace to a jog toward the figure in the distance... In the now much shortened distance, he had much more clarity. The figure he saw, was actually a person, a man floating in the air. His eyes were covered with a black blindfolded, wings girded his back and he looked to be in complete contentment, a smile not forming on his face however. Dejinkken, at the edge of the bridge, immediately knelt before the floating one, lowering his head down. "Teacher..." The white haired lad greeted the one to whom it applied. The one floating in the air had descended from the air and stood on the ground in front of Deji. "Rise, young one." The blinded one said to him, to which quickly stood up in obedience. "Well done, Dejinkken. The Creator is pleased with your completion of the task. Your training and ascension, in turn, has neared its completion." The blind one informed him. There was a certain excitement in hearing those words, but discipline kept him from leaping with joy. After these many years of his life, perhaps now he could reform his imperfection and become a honorable tool for the Giver. A small smile crept to his lips, but only to be flattened by his teacher's raised finger. "There is still one task in which you must complete. One that you must carry on without me." The phrase caused Dejinkken to blink slightly in a bit of disbelief. "But...how could I complete this task without your guidance Teacher?" "The Creator's wisdom is boundless. To question his commands are blasphemous." The Teacher answered. Such an answer immediately quieted Deji, the apprentice lowering his eyes, disheartened. "This final task will allow you to shed such inhibitions to your potential. For the Creator to give you ability, honor, and faith." The Teacher reminded him, pressing his palms together. As he slowly separated them, light condensed between them in a bright display, a rainbow radiantly flaring to form the Blade of Clensing. A weapon that he had only heard about, now in his presence, Dejinkken marveled at the weapon. "Your physical father's sword; an ancient relic of the Creator. One to be wielded with faith and truth. When you swing it, swing it with intent." The blade levitated behind Deji, bound to follow him, due to a halo around the blade's hilt, one that also formed on his wrist. A chill fell down the lad's spine, looking down at the ring around his arm. "Your father had unfinished business on the mortal plane. Business that only you, his offspring, can complete. Remember your training, and never forget, the Creator is always with you." Humbly, Deji lowered his head. He felt the Teacher's hand touch the top of his head. Several phrases were muttered before Deji felt himself falling. So many things weighed upon his mind at once, but as the realm of white faded into a vivid variety of color, Dejinkken closed his eyes... Awakening! From above the town's Central Park, a boy dressed in all black dropped from the sky. His limbs were tugged up as they were limp from unconsciousness. The sound of wind blowing was the first thing that he heard. Next, was the slight opening of his eyes. He saw clouds and soon the tops of buildings. His head turned from side to side, analyzing his situation. He was falling! In midair, he turned himself around. He was reaching tree-level at an alarming rate. With the direction he was falling in, it appeared that he was going to land into a water fountain. His mouth opened slightly ajar, but with a breath, he managed to find some composure. His arms quickly extended out to his sides, arcane energy formed at the fingertips of each hand, dramatically slowing his fall. It was just enough for him to aim away from the fountain with his feet extended below. Dejinkken landed on a hill in the grass, tumbling a little bit down it. His landing was hard, but not destructive. A sigh of relief left him. Caught it just in time...though, this left him several questions. What was he to do on the mortal plane? What was his father's unfinished business? Deji looked around at the nature that surrounded him, enclosed by the urban landscape. Teacher had dropped him here for a reason. Blue orbs searched around, aimlessly. Attain Knowledge. A female voice spoke behind him, causing the lad to jump a little bit. He gazed upon Sento from his seated position from over his shoulder. It spoke to him? Attain Knowledge...? He slowly pushed himself up from the ground to start walking. The blade wasn't specific, but the first thing that came to his mind, was to at least figure out where in the mortal plane he was. So, his journey began.
