Although that does mean that the more vicious aspects of the character won't become apparent for a while, which could be very beneficial, and would make for good development. Way I see it, so long as it isn't too ridiculous, and it only focuses on Iron Man, it's actually advantageous to conflict and storytelling, and could strengthen the character as a whole.
